摘要： An attachment for converting a conventional nonwindow envelope machine into one in which a web of patching material is partially severed for providing either a window transparency or a liner for an envelope forming individual patches, said patches being gummed for attachment to the interior of an envelope blank and the partially severed web fed to the circumference or filler plate of a rotating vacuum cylinder where the individual gummed patches are completely severed and each carried into contact with and affixed to an envelope blank, the cylinder having multiple scoring blades for providing the envelope blanks with score lines for subsequent folding of its flaps to complete the envelope.

摘要： A sealed package is disclosed that includes a breachable bubble for opening the package in combination with at least one reclosable device. The reclosable device may comprise a pair of opposing interlocking members. The breachable bubble allows for the package to be easily opened while the reclosable device allows for the package to be closed once opened. The breachable bubble and the reclosable device can be preformed on opposing strips that are then incorporated into the package as the package is being formed.

摘要： A mailing container having upper and lower plain paper layers padded with at least two layers of globular paper is made with feed and unwinding devices for upper and lower paper webs and an unwinding device for the padded webs. A device connects the paper webs with padded webs adjacent an edge of the mailing containers. A device cuts the mailing containers to a predetermined format. A station for globular paper includes at least one supply roll to be unwound from the upper paper web and a lower paper web. A reactivatable hot melt adhesive is applied along predetermined zones, on at least one of the globular paper webs and on at least one web of the upper and lower paper webs before the webs are brought together. The hot melt adhesive applied to the predetermined zones between the upper and lower paper web and/or between the globular paper webs causes these webs to be permanently joined.

The masking areas provide a means of concealing a promotional message or indicia from the exterior of the package, until such time that the package and its contents have been purchased.
