摘要： A craftwork accessory may provide a portable and/or easy-to-use tool to help users' accurately and repeatedly apply stamp impressions and the like to items such as cardstock. The accessory may include a base portion, one or more elevated side portions and cover portion. The side portions may define a workspace for arranging the item. The cover portion may be movably attached to the base portion or a side portion, for example, by one or more hinges. In operation, the item and stamp may be aligned in the workspace and the cover portion may be pressed onto the stamp to stick the stamp to the cover portion. The cover may then be opened, the stamp may be inked, and the cover portion may be closed and pressed onto the item to stamp the item. The accessory may include alignment indicia on the base portion, side portions and/or cover portion to facilitate placement of the item and/or stamp. The accessory may also include fastening mechanisms, such as magnetic elements, to facilitate placement of the item and/or stamp.

摘要： A mixing and paint-making device and method for making paint are described. Embodiments of the paint-making device include a first and second palette hingedly coupled to a base. The base includes a paint pot shaking component configured to agitate and/or translate a paint pot. The paint pot shaking component includes a series of gears and pistons that interact to produce a shaking motion for a paint pot coupled to the paint pot shaking component. In one embodiment, the paint pot shaking component includes a crank gear adjacent a combination gear that contacts a slide crankshaft. The slide crankshaft is coupled to a slide crank arm that is secured by slide bracket coupled to the base. A paint pot harness holds a paint pot during agitation and moves in an upward and downward motion corresponding to the motion of the slide crank arm.

摘要： A locking mechanism for an embosser stamp in which the embosser stamp has an operating lever for controlling movement of the seal or embossing plates. Holes are disposed in the sides of the embosser stamp and through the operating lever. When the holes in the operating lever are aligned with the holes in the sides of the embosser stamp, a locking rod is placed through the aligned holes. Movement of the operating lever is restricted when the locking rod is inserted through the aligned holes. One end of the locking rod has a stop mechanism and the other end has a hole for receiving a lock.

The apparatus is provided with a first pressure plate, a second pressure plate, a linkage, and a lever arm. The first pressure plate is configured to cooperate with the second pressure plate to selectively emboss, deboss, and die-cut under an applied force. The linkage is linked to the first pressure plate and the second pressure plate and is configured to provide a mechanical advantage between a driver link and a driven link. The lever arm is linked to the driver link of the linkage. The lever arm is configured to provide a mechanical advantage between a distal end of the lever arm and the driver link of the linkage. Beneficially, such an apparatus, system, and method allows a user to emboss large designs in the center of standard sizes of embossable material while applying a relatively small force.

摘要： Activity or craft apparatus and method for simply, inexpensively, and generally instantaneously creating a thin lithophane-like pictorial work that provides a picture or image when light passes through the work from the rear. The work is formed by compressing a formable translucent material. The illustrated apparatus includes a contoured forming surface that is a reverse image of the contoured recessed picture-providing front surface of a desired lithophane-type pictorial work. The translucent material is compressed against the forming surface to form the material into a thin panel that has, at the interface with the forming surface, the contoured recessed picture-producing front surface. In one form the forming surface is mounted on a stamp. The stamp may be hand held or maybe mounted on a press or the like. Thickness limiting stops may be provided to control and limit the final thickness of the compressed finished work. The material may be supported on a suitable surface such as a non-opaque wall of a light-box so that the picture provided by the finished work can be seen by the user as soon as the work is formed and the stamp is removed. In another preferred embodiment, the contoured forming surface may be transparent so that the picture of the work can be seen as soon as the work is formed and backlit, without having to separate the work from the forming surface.

摘要： The invention provides a seal press for use in embossing paper with a desired pattern using a die and a die counter. The seal press includes a housing, a seal set movable in the housing between inner and outer positions, and housing means biasing the seal set into an open position to receive the paper. A lever is pivotally connected to the housing and movable between upper and lower positions. First engagement means is provided between the lever and seal set with the lever and seal set in respective upper and forward positions, the lever being supported by the seal set in these positions to permit operation of the lever to close the seal set and emboss the paper. Also, second engagement means is provided between the lever and the seal set with the lever and seal set in respective lever and rearward positions for storage of the seal press. The seal set is biased towards the outer position and thereby through the second engagement means the lever is biased towards the lower position.
