摘要： A device for applying tape from a roll of tape (e.g., masking tape) along a surface to be protected with an edge of the tape extending along a juncture between the surface to be protected and a surface to be treated disposed at about a right angle with respect to the surface to be protected. The device includes a two portion housing around and journaling the tape roll, each portion having a tape contacting part of its inner surface in a first plane, and having in a second plane a guide part of its outer surface adapted to be slid along the surface to be treated. The first and second planes on each of the housing portions can be at a small angle with respect to each other and intersect along an application side of the housing. A pressure application structure is mounted on the housing with an outer edge each end of the pressure application structure at the intersection of the first and second planes for a different adjacent one of the housing portions, and with the generally cylindrically arcuate peripheral surface of the pressure application structure disposed at an angle of no greater than 90 degrees with respect to the second plane and projecting from the housing at the intersections of the first and second planes. Tape from the roll extends around the periphery of the pressure application structure so that the dispenser can be manually positioned with either housing portion against the surface to be treated and moved to apply the tape.

摘要： A drywall texture and tape dispensing device has a hand held dispenser with a mud chamber. The dispenser tapers toward an exit end with two, parallel slots for dispensing a thin layer of dry wall mud onto a dry wall surface along with the drywall tape. A semi-rigid, flexible strap is affixed to the dispenser and extends past its back end. The strap has an arm band that secures to the arm of the user. The device also has a pair of tape guide loops that are loosely joined to the strap to allow twisting and flexibility. A blade is affixed to the dispenser for smoothing mud on a surface. A mud line is provided to receive mud for delivery to the mud chamber. A tape dispenser is supported by the user, typically on the user's belt. The tape dispenser is positioned to sequentially feed tape through the guide loops and out through tape dispensing slot on the exit end of the hand held dispenser for application to a surface. The user applies the mud and tape simultaneously to a wall surface. The blade is used to smooth the mud and tape combination onto the surface as desired.

摘要： A tape and wallboard compound dispenser is a handheld unit that has a separate compound channel and tape channel, both of which terminate slightly rearward of a blade located on the forward end of the unit. The unit has a housing with a compartment for containing a roll of tape. A flexible strap is mounted to the side of the housing to provide a loop for insertion of a hand of a user to carry the dispenser. In a manual mode, a single lever controls flow of compound from a pump to the compound channel as well as severing the tape at the end of the stroke. The lever has an off position that shuts off flow of compound to the compound channel. It has an on position that allows flow of compound to the compound channel. It has a cutting position that actuates a cutting mechanism to cut the tape and simultaneously to shut off flow of compound to the compound channel.
