    Abstract: A tire traction assembly for enhancing traction of vehicle tires on a slippery driving surface includes a pair of traction frames that can each be positioned on a slippery driving surface upon which a vehicle is not capable of driving due to a loss of traction. A plurality of nets is each integrated into a respective one of the traction frames. The plurality of nets includes a set of top nets and a set of bottom nets. Moreover, each of the set of top nets frictionally engages a respective vehicle tire and each of the bottom nets frictionally engages the slippery driving surface when the traction frames are positioned on the slippery driving surface. Additionally, each of the top nets and each of the bottom nets is comprised of a resilient material to resist being deformed by the weight of the vehicle tire.

    Abstract: A tire traction device having a tire arm about the width of a tire, roughly conforming the radial curvature of the tire and removably secured thereto, a spring-loaded shock pivotably attached to one end of the tire arm, and a traction track pivotably connected to opposite end of shock. The track includes a series of successively interconnected frames that pivot about each other, the first frame adjacent to the arm and pivotably connected thereto includes a tapered end. In use, the arm is placed about the tire and the tapered end of the first frame is wedged between the tire and the tractionless surface, the remaining frames can be laid flat or staggered. Upon rotation of the tire, the arm is rotated thereabout until releasing after contact with the first frame, whereby instantaneously the first frame and successive frames form a flat traction surface for the tire to rotate about.

    Abstract: Method and apparatus for pulling a vehicle free from mud, etc. using a vehicle drive wheel as a windless or winch and employing an elongated flexible strap, a gripper plate mounted on a leading end of the strap and an anchor plate mounted on a trailing end of the strap. The gripper plate is inserted between the tire and its support surface with upstanding teeth of the gripper plate engaging the tire. The drive wheel is then rotated with the vehicle engine to draw the gripper plate around the tire and wrap the trailing strap around the tire. The gripper plate is then secured to the overlapping strap, the anchor plate is anchored at a remote point aligned with the drive wheel and the vehicle is driven towards the anchor point using the strap to pull the vehicle free.
