The system includes a pressure regulation system configured to be mounted within an axle of a moving vehicle having a tire mounted thereto. The pressure regulation system includes a pump assembly configured to continuously pump a gas into the tire. A release valve is configured to enable gas above a set pressure to pass from the tire through a second pneumatic fitting into the atmosphere. The release valve selectively closes after the air pressure within the tire no longer exceeds the predetermined level.

    摘要: A motor vehicle with a compressor assembly for the supply of a pressure medium to a tire cavity of a tire of a motor vehicle. The compressor assembly has a compression chamber which is rotationally fixed in relation to the motor vehicle wheel, and the compression chamber and the tire cavity are connected via a fluidic connection for the conveying of a pressure medium from the compression chamber into the tire cavity. A tire sealing device has a sealant reservoir with a first connection fluidically connected to a tire cavity of a tire of the motor vehicle to be repaired, and a second connection fluidically connected to a pressure medium source secured to the motor vehicle. The sealant is conveyed out of the pressure medium source into the tire cavity of the tire to be repaired by means of the pressure medium.

The air maintenance tire includes an annular groove formed in a selected one of the tire sidewalls. An automated shut off valve is disposed between the main air storage tank and the auxiliary air storage tank. An inflation sensor is arranged to detect an inflation pressure provided to the tires. A controller has a rapid inflation mode configured to initially communicate stored compressed air from both the main air storage tank and the auxiliary air storage tank to the tire or tires being inflated, and to then close the automated shut off valve so that additional compressed air from the compressor is communicated to the tire or tires being inflated without repressurizing the auxiliary air storage tank.

    摘要: A vehicle-tire pressure-level regulator has a pressure vent cooperable with an actuator for pressure release and a pump for pressure recovery. The actuator and the pump motor are respectively electronically controlled to adjust the tire pressure in relation to high and low thresholds above and below a desired operating pressure throughout a race. The pressure vent does not operate if an accelerometer detects that the tire is distorted because the vehicle is turning. If the vehicle is not turning and the high pressure threshold is reached, the vent is opened. If the low pressure threshold is reached the pump is activated until the tire is restored to the desired operating pressure. Operation of the vent may be controlled to provide different rates of outlet flow as real-time pressure may require. Operation of the vent may be prevented if a transient pressure spike occurs.
