摘要： A glass run for an automobile door is provided with an enhanced look of a design portion thereof, allowing the glass run to be deformed easily along the curved shape of a window frame during assembly to the window frame, thereby improving ease of assembly. The glass run includes a glass run body 21 including upper and lower planar portions 23a and 23c, and a design portion 29 forming part of appearance design of an automobile. A material forming the upper and lower planar portions 23a and 23c and a material forming the design portion 29 respectively contain a resin as a main ingredient. The material forming the design portion 29 is less rigid than the material forming the upper and lower planar portions 23a and 23c.

摘要： A glass run includes: a main body portion including a base portion, an inner side wall portion and an outer side wall portion; an inner side seal lip; and an outer side seal lip, wherein; the inner side seal lip includes a protruding portion on a rear surface so as to have a protruding surface; and in a case where the door glass inserted into the main body portion is displaced from a reference position to the inside of the vehicle, a state is changeable between a first support state where a tip end portion of a sub-lip and the protruding surface abut against each other and slide, and a second support state where the tip end portion is separated from the protruding surface and a part on a root side than the tip end portion abuts against the protruding portion.

摘要： A retaining system for a motor vehicle includes a vehicle body having a door opening with a frame disposed therearound. A door is mounted adjacent the door opening and includes a vertically moveable frameless window. An actuator is coupled to the frame and further coupled to a retainer member. The retainer member is moveable between engaged and disengaged positions relative to the frameless window as powered by the actuator. A controller is configured for determining whether an instantaneous vehicle condition is met or present, and moving the retainer member to the engaged position to retain the frameless window against the frame or vehicle body when the vehicle condition is detected. The vehicle condition may include a predetermined vehicle speed, an aerodynamic pressure reading, a direct aerodynamic pressure or vacuum, a door lock activation, or other like condition for detection by the controller.
