In order to ensure simple intermediate handling of the brake booster before and during the assembly of the brake system and to improve the durability and corrosion resistance, the housing shells are arranged in such a way that the housing shells are each connected to the connecting pin such that the housing shells are secured against being axially moved apart from each other.

The guide portion is provided with a communication portion through which a negative pressure chamber side space exposed by the front surface of the sealing portion communicates with the negative pressure chamber, even in a state in which the guide portion abuts against the annular flange portion.

    摘要: A vacuum-operated brake booster includes a housing which consists of a bottom and a cover having an intermediate piston through which tubes, through which attachment screws are to pass, extend. The front end of the tube is threaded, and a peripheral groove is provided behind the thread, a flange being crimped in the groove behind the cover in the housing. The master cylinder is attached via the lugs thereof, which are fitted into the front end of the tube against the front surface of the cover and locked by the nut screwed onto the thread. The front end of the tube has a peripheral groove receiving the flange that consists of a ring and a sleeve, the lip of which penetrates into the groove by crimping. A gasket completes the seal.

    摘要: A spacer for positioned a boost unit in an engine compartment of a vehicle. The spacer is defined by a wall located between a front face and a rear face, bearing surfaces, an axial opening with a flange thereon, ribs that extend from the flange to define a plurality of radial slots, an axial slot that extends from the front face toward the rear face and a peripheral slot that connects the axial slot with the engine compartment. A base of a boot that surrounds a hub on the boost unit engages the front face to define a flow path from the engine compartment to the hub. Tabs on the spacer assure that the front face is aligned with the base while the radial ribs prevent the base from engaging the wall to assure that the size of flow path remains constant during the communication of air to the hub.
