    摘要: The railway car comprises a subframe 40 disposed below a floor of the car body with a clearance therebetween, and a bogie 30 disposed below the subframe 40 with a clearance therebetween, wherein car body 10 and subframe 40 are connected via a first center pin 50 protruding downward from car body 10 or via a first center pin 50 protruding upward from subframe 40 toward car body 10, and subframe 40 and bogie 30 are connected via a second center pin 70 protruding downward from the subframe 40. A two-step bumper 61 is disposed between the first center pin 50 and the corresponding adjacent member, and two-step bumper 61 is disposed on both sides of center pin 50 in the width direction of car body 10. Car body 10 swings in the width direction when the bogie passes a point. After passing the point, car body 10 returns to its original position by the force of two-step bumper 61.

    摘要: A bolster bearing having a flat bottom wall and an annular sidewall is disposed in the bolster bowl of a truck bolster, a radially extending annular flange on the bearing sidewall overlying an upper surface of the upstanding rim of the truck bolster defining its bolster bowl. Cooperating elements on the rim and on the bearing flange prevent rotation of the bearing from a first position relative to the bolster bowl. The bearing may be radially shifted from its first position to a second position upon disengagement of such elements followed by a reengagement of such elements at such second position in which the bearing is likewise prevented from rotation relative to the bolster bowl.

    摘要: A separate cast or forged bowl shaped center plate secured centrally received in the vertical center sill pocket of a freight car body where intersecting the body bolster. Located rigidly, secured, longitudinally displaced within the sill at each opposite end of the center plate is a vertical spacer plate for withstanding the shear and vertical forces service imposed thereat. A separate tie plate horizontally spanning the sill pocket exterior of the center plate and connected to the underedge of each spacer plate provides stiffening reinforcement. By welding the bowl substantially all around to the underedges of the spacer plates and sill wall extents therebetween, maximum inservice load support is provided.

    摘要: An articulated railway vehicle includes a truck having at least two wheeled axles, a truck frame supported on the axles, pairs of transversely spaced upright springs centered longitudinally of the truck and supported on the truck frame, a pair of body units aligned longitudinally of the truck and spaced apart longitudinally of the truck, elements projecting longitudinally from one of the body units and spaced apart transversely of the truck corresponding to the outer pair of springs and seated respectively thereon, and additional elements projecting longitudinally from the other body units and spaced apart transversely of the truck corresponding to the inner pair of springs and seated respectively thereon, the springs being distortable in shear generally longitudinally of the truck to accommodate relative swivel between the car bodies with each other and the truck, and transversely of the truck to cushion lateral forces. The bodies are connected to each other by a pivot structure above the center of the truck, which is connected to the truck frame to transmit longitudinal forces therebetween while accommodating relative swivel, transverse and vertical movements of the bodies with respect to the truck frame as are permitted by the springs.
