摘要:
A coupler for rail vehicles of a model railway is attached to the end of a vehicle along substantially the longitudinal central axis of the vehicle. The coupler is provided with a coupling carrier which has at its free end a coupling plate acting as a buffer. In the coupled condition of railway vehicles, these coupling plates abut against each other and coupling hooks are positioned behind the coupling plates to retain the vehicles in coupled relationship.

A conventional Association of American Railroads (AAR)-type F coupler head is rotatable engaged with a railway car and has a rotor engaged with the coupler''s unlocking mechanism. A rotor arm is secured to the rotor for corresponding rotational movement outboard from one of the rotary shaft walls of the coupler head and projects downwardly away from the bottom of the coupler head. The rotor arm may be pivoted upwardly, rotating the rotor and unlocking the lock of the unlocking mechanism, by a U-shaped member pivotally secured to the railway car. The lockhole walls of the coupler head are modified to allow pivotal movement of the U-shaped member.

A coupler for toy and model railway cars includes a coupler knuckle adapted to engage a complimentary knuckle on an adjacent car. The knuckle is pivotally mounted and is adapted to pivot between a lower position substantially parallel to a trackway and an upper position. A first permanent magnet is mounted on the knuckle and a second magnet is mounted on the car structure with an unlike pole facing the adjacent pole of the first magnet. The resultant magnetic attraction between the unlike poles resiliently urges the knuckle to the lower position. Cars may be uncoupled by providing an uncoupling magnet on the trackway to attract one pole and repel the other pole of the first magnet to create an attraction/repulsion force couple to torque the knuckle to the upper position and thereby uncouple adjacent cars.

An uncoupling device for rotary dump cars in which the car couplers are of the bottom operating type, wherein at each end of the car the uncoupling mechanism is made of the same type, and comprising both the rotary and non-rotary couplers of the car being equipped with paddle type lock lifters having a pivotal operating stroke that unlocks and opens the coupler knuckle, and a bail type actuator therefor, wherein the actuator comprises a bail member mounted on the end of the car to receive the car center sill and swing about a horizontal axis extending crosswise of the car and located at approximately the level of the top of the car center sill and inwardly of its striker. The bail member has a striker section that underlies the center sill and is equipped with a paddle striker that is arced to accommodate coupler side swing. The uncoupling device includes a handle structure journaled on the end of the car coaxially of the swing axis of the bail member and connected to the bail member to swing same to bring the bail member striker into striking engagement with the paddle, to thereby move the paddle through its full operating stroke to unlock and open the coupler knuckle. The bail member is spring-biased to a retracted position spaced from the paddle and disposed under the center sill striker.

An electrical installation for triggering switching functions in motor vehicles, with a central unit producing from input signals, coordinated output signals to switch load switches, and a redundancy unit; the input, respectively, output signals are thereby combined into groups of mutually similar switching functions and the redundancy unit is so connected that it prepares or readies for each group an output signal for the switching function which, in comparison with the other switching functions of the corresponding group, possesses the highest priority.
