摘要: The invention concerns an arrangement (8) for displacement of a driving-space (4) of a vehicle (1), comprising a first beam section (9) which on the one hand supports the driving-space (4), and on the other is arranged on a structural framework (2) on the vehicle (1), and a rear section (6) arranged behind the driving-space (4) which adjoins the driving-space (4) and which is connected to the structural framework (2), so that the rear section (6) is prevented from being displaced in the lengthwise direction of the vehicle (1). The first beam section (9) can be displaced relative to the structural framework (2), so that the driving-space (4) can be displaced in the direction of the rear section (6) under the conditions of a collision.

摘要: In an automotive vehicle occupant protection system, the vehicle body comprises a chassis and a vehicle body main part mounted on said chassis in a relatively moveable manner in a fore-and-aft direction, and an arrangement for engaging a vehicle body main part to the chassis under normal condition, and releasing the vehicle body main part from the chassis upon occurrence of a vehicle crash, and a bumper member provided on the chassis and adapted to collide with a stopper member provided on the vehicle body main part after a prescribed rearward travel of the chassis relative to the vehicle body main part. Thus, upon occurrence of a crash, the chassis having a substantial mass starts decelerating, and moves rearward with respect to the remaining part of the vehicle body. This in turn causes the tension of the seat belt to increase, and the restraint on the vehicle occupant to increase. This is followed by the application of a reverse deceleration to the chassis so that the initial sharp rise in the deceleration acting on the vehicle occupant is smoothly connected to the ride down state in which the vehicle occupant decelerates at the same rate as the vehicle body.

摘要: An automobile body structure having a crossbeam connecting left and right center pillars. The crossbeam has a pipe-like beam body and gussets mounted to the opposite ends of the beam body. A load inputted to one of the center pillars is transmitted via the crossbeam to the other center pillar. The inputted load is dispersed through those two center pillars to prevent the center pillar from deformation having received the input load.

摘要: In an automotive vehicle body structure including a crash load transmitting member extending from a front end of the vehicle body to a part adjacent to the floor member, and integrally carrying a seat thereon, a stopper is fixedly attached to the main frame, and adapted to abut a part of the crash load transmitting member upon a rearward movement of the crash load transmitting member by a prescribed distance. A guide member normally retains the crash load transmitting member firmly to the vehicle body main frame as a part of the vehicle body, but allows the crash load transmitting member to move rearward, and hit the stopper so that the desired deceleration time history may be achieved in the crash load transmitting member which is integral with the seat, and the deceleration of the vehicle occupant may be favorably controlled.

摘要: A bending and torsionally stiff Y-rear brace for a body structure includes a rear cross support, running across the longitudinal direction of the body structure, a support running along the longitudinal direction of the body structure, a connector bracket and two compression and tension brace between the connector bracket and the sill ends. Each brace is supported approximately in the middle thereof on the chassis. A suitable static and dynamic bending and torsional rigidity for vehicles without supporting boot floors is provided.

摘要: A pair of left and right front frames are formed with brittle sections on proximal portions of the frames, by the provision of the smaller cross-sectional area than other sections of the frame. The brittle sections and their peripheral sections are processed so as to become approximately equal to the other sections of the front frames in axial compressive strength by way of a hardening treatment like quenching. In an early-phase of a collision, the hardened brittle sections will not buckle so as to induce larger initial load. Thereafter, the brittle sections will buckle because of their lower ductility, so that the front frames begin bending deformation to effectively absorb the collision energy.
