    Abstract: A system includes an emergency response vehicle transitionable between a motive state and a non-motive state and a tool. The tool includes an identifier and is configured to be removably secured to the emergency response vehicle. The system further includes a scanner coupled to the emergency response vehicle and operable to identify the identifier when the tool is secured to the emergency response vehicle. A control module is communicatively coupled to the scanner and includes a processor and a memory storing instructions which cause the processor to determine that the emergency response vehicle has transitioned between the motive state and the non-motive state, and, in response to determining that the emergency response vehicle has transitioned between the motive state and the non-motive state, cause the scanner to scan the emergency response vehicle for the identifier to determine whether the tool is secured to the emergency response vehicle.

    Abstract: A foot-deck-based vehicle includes a support structure having a longitudinal axis, a first foot-deck portion, and a second foot-deck portion. Each of the first foot-deck portion and the second foot-deck portion have a foot support surface. The foot support surfaces of the first and second foot-deck portions are positioned to support first and second feet of a rider respectively. The foot-deck-based vehicle further includes at least one wheel that is rotationally connected to the support structure for rotation about a lateral axis. The first and second foot-deck portions are movably connected at least indirectly to each other and are movable between a use position and a stowage position.

    Abstract: A vehicle for a standing rider has a single surface-engaging wheel; a pair of foot supports, one on each side of the wheel, for supporting a standing rider astride the wheel in a position facing forward; a frame that mounts the wheel and forms a forward riser extending up and forward from the wheel to a position to be grasped by a rider standing on the foot supports to enable the rider to achieve balance and stability while standing and riding. A rearward riser extends up and rearward of the wheel to a position to be grasped by a pusher to enable the pusher to advance, balance and guide the vehicle.

    Abstract: A self-balancing personal vehicle is disclosed. In at least one embodiment, the vehicle provides a chassis having an at least one primary wheel positioned and configured for being in rolling contact with the ground. At least one drive motor is positioned and configured for selectively driving the at least one primary wheel. At least one self-balancing system is configured for automatically assisting the vehicle in maintaining a substantially upright position during use. At least one harness assembly is engaged with a suspension frame secured to the chassis, the harness assembly being sized and configured for removably receiving and suspending an at least one user a distance above the chassis. At least one control bar is positioned and configured for allowing the user to grasp said control bar while suspended within the harness assembly, for selectively repositioning their body and shifting their weight, relative to the at least one primary wheel.

    Abstract: An electro-mechanical gyro-balanced unicycle includes a wheel provided with a first motor, a housing provided outside the wheel and hollow pedals respectively provided at both sides of the housing. The pedal is provided with an electro-mechanical gyro assembly, and the electro-mechanical gyro assembly includes a second motor and a rotor capable of being driven by the second motor to rotate at a high speed so as to produce torques in a horizontal plane. The unicycle has a simple structure, can enable a beginner to be capable of quickly getting on the unicycle without any external assistant force, and can still well realize self-balance in left and right directions over time.
