    摘要: The present invention is a sports board assembly with a wrist/ankle tether that can be converted into one or more shoulder straps. A first connector is anchored to the sports board along a center line. A second connector is anchored to the sports board offset from the center line. A tethering system is joined to the first connector and can be selectively connected to the second connector. When the tethering system and the second connector are interconnected, the tethering system forms a shoulder strap that extends from the first connector to the second connector. The shoulder strap can be used to carry the sports board. A third connector can also be used on the sports board. The tethering system can connect the first connector, to the second connect, to the third connector and back to the first connector to form a set of shoulder straps from the tethering system.

    摘要: A lightweight, ultra-strong leash for water sports is disclosed. The utility model relates to a tether, herein called a “leash,” for attaching a person to a canoe, kayak, foil, paddleboard, surfboard, surfski or similar watercraft. The leash allows a person to maintain connection to the watercraft in case of temporary separation such as from capsizing or falling. The leash comprises a resilient rope, rope swivels, hardware, and an adjustable cuff or belt. The leash attaches at one end to the watercraft and at the other end to the cuff or belt, which is worn by the sporting person. The full assembly is compact and features two mechanisms for optional quick-connect or quick-disconnect. The leash has equivalent strength to wire strand steel but is extremely lightweight. The materials' resistances to UV degradation and water and salt water deterioration uniquely boost the full assembly's overall strength and integrity initially and over time.

A safety surf leash is attached to the pin centered in the ball to achieve a safety connection between surfer, in particular attached to the leg of the surfer, and a surfboard. The rotational element is free to rotate in x, y, and z axis inside the outer ring housing and the bottom cap. The spherical element is able to follow the force vector of the leash pulling the pin. The surf plug system can therefore follow the movement of the safety surf leash and or the surfer attached to the leash as soon as there is a pull force applied to the pin inside the surf plug system.

The switch cord has a first end portion affixed to a key for connection to a kill switch of the watercraft and a second end portion affixed to the leash cord. The anchoring cord has a first end portion configured to fixedly secure the anchoring cord to the watercraft and a second end portion affixed to the leash cord. A loop is affixed in preferred examples along the anchoring cord that is configured to slidably receive the switch cord therethrough. When the leash cord is pulled taut while the anchoring cord is fixedly secured to the watercraft, the first end portion of the switch cord is drawn toward the loop to remove the key.

    摘要: A quick release leash which includes a flexible leash line that terminates in a male member of a quick release coupling. The quick release coupling has a female receiver which receives the male member in mating relation. A locking pin passage that intersects the female receiver. The male member of the quick release coupling has an aperture. A locking pin is axially movable in the locking pin passage and is biased by a biasing member into engagement with the aperture of the male member. When a force is exerted upon a manual release sufficient to overcome the biasing force of biasing member, the first end of the locking pin is withdrawn from the aperture of the male member and the male member is released. This quick release leash was developed as a safety device for water sports to quickly release a person from their board, but has wider application.
