摘要: An improved rescue device includes a floatation material, a flexible mesh disposed about the floatation material wherein the flexible mesh is in contact with an outer surface of the floatation material, and a bonding material covering the flexible mesh and the floatation material. The floatation material is a closed cell foam material, the flexible mesh is a nylon mesh, and the bonding material is a polyvinyl chloride paint. The rescue device may also include a tow line affixed to one end thereof and a plurality of rings arranged along the length of the tow line. A harness may be coupled to one end of the tow line and a securement device may be coupled to the tow line to retain the tow line in a compressed state. The securement device may be a collar which fastens upon itself by hook and loop fasteners.

摘要: A windsock for inflating a personal life raft. The windsock gathers wind and with sufficient wind velocity such that it will blow through a flapper valve. If the wind is not strong enough to open the flapper valve, the windsock is used to scoop up air and the opening is closed by one hand while the other hand slides down the windsock transferring the air through the one-way flapper valve into the raft. As the pressure mounts in the first chamber a medium pressure valve opens into the adjacent raft tube in the bulkhead allowing air to fill both portions of the raft's perimeter tube.

摘要: A high floating rescue pylon with a passenger compartment at the top and a long narrow portion of the pylon above water with a submerged buoyancy compartment located on the pylon a distance above a ballast chamber at the lower end of the pylon. The unsubmerged portion of the pylon is designed to be high enough to clear the tallest wave crest. The buoyancy compartment is designed to be below water at all times and high enough above the ballast chamber that a pylon righting moment is created by a couple between the center of buoyancy of that chamber and the center of gravity of the ballast chamber. This righting moment is made great enough to create a stable passenger compartment high above the highest waves. The pylon is launched from a rescue vessel or a helicopter to float horizontally, buoyed at one end by a buoyant passenger compartment and at the other end by the about to be submerged variable buoyancy compartment. A heavy ballast shaft slides out the bottom end of the pylon. The heavy ballast shaft pivots one end of the horizontal pylon downward erecting the remaining pylon with passenger compartment uppermost. The now submerged buoyancy compartment enlarges, inflating to lift the now vertical pylon to its design waterline.

摘要: A rescue vest has a spaced apart pair of vertical roller frames attached to the front, each frame having an inline array of wheels or alternate roller track on roller track wheels. Each adjacent pair of wheels or roller tracks having a narrow space therebetween has an axle attached to the frame between the narrow space and an external surface on which the user is rolling to prevent debris from entering therebetween. A lower front vest extension has an additional pair of tracks below the waist each with wheels or a roller track aligned with the tracks above the waist. Side spaces between a front and back vest portions or pair of back straps accommodate equipment carried on the hip of the wearer. Shoulder spaces and a front opening allow attachment of safety lines to a harness worn under the vest.

摘要: A device to enable the escape of small animals, for placement at the perimeter of a swimming pool, which is comprised of a length of flexible netting suspended from and weighted by a flexible tube filled with water. The length of netting hangs into the water, floating slightly beneath the surface, enabling the escape or eventual rescue of an animal swimming the perimeter in search of a means of exit.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and device provided in the form of a carrying device for transporting an injured person in a horizontal reclined position. Said device is comprised of two belts whose ends are joined to one another. One of the belts is placed around the upper body and the other belt is placed around the thighs of the injured person. The ends of the belts are provided with a shared coupling element, by means of which they can be coupled to a lowered end of a rescue line. The aim of the invention is to use simple means to provide the ability to fasten both belts at once to the injured person by using a handle, to then separate both belts from one another using a second handle, and to slide the second belt under the buttocks of the injured person. The invention is based on the above-mentioned rescue device developed by Professor Schwindt and is characterized in that both belts, when in a standby position, are closely positioned next to one another in a parallel manner and are detachably joined to one another while forming a strand. In addition, means are provided with which the joining between both belts can be released, and one end of both belts is coupled or to be coupled to the coupling element whereas the other belt end can be coupled to the first-mentioned end or to the coupling element.

摘要: When a person 55 having a portable transmitter 41 hanging from his neck happens to fall into water, the self-contained sensor detects invasion of water into the transmitter 41 to send a water-detection signal to the on board transmitter-and-receiver system 42. The engine drive control 45 is connected to the on board transmitter-and-receiver system 42A, controlling the engine 47 so as to make the boat 46 retrace the way to the accidental point at which the transmitter wearer 55 fell into water, so that the boat 46 may stop close to him on water. The transmitter-and-receiver system 42 is equipped with a GSP system, so that it may inform selected people of predetermined addresses of the time and the place at which the person fell into water via a selected local station 202 by wireless. A life-saving article such as a life belt is made to fall onto water, and a rope ladder may be hang on the side of the boat 46 to permit the person to return to the boat by climbing the rope ladder.
