    摘要: This new art offers an improvement to conventional surfboards as well as any previous motorized jet surfboards. This application includes an electric powered surfboard equipped with drive units that unfold out onto the surfboard's bottom surface to aggressively power it forward. Once a wave is caught the drive units can retract back up into the surfboard's body as the power is shut off by the surfer. Then, instantly the flush fitting glide doors close, allowing the surfboard's bottom to return to a planning surface with no protrusions, except for fins, and no water filled jet tubes left open to detract from the surfboard's critical gliding ability when surfing waves.Also, there's a crowned deck shape that allows thin rail sensitivity for turning performance and a motor battery arrangement that provides mass centralization of weight. All this, combined with several wireless control means define this new fine handling motorized surfboard.

    摘要: An Auto-Pilot for steering a craft automatically in water or air, and including a flux gate arrangement mounted to the craft in a predetermined horizontal directional orientation, and a resolver having a first section with coils energized by signals from the flux gate to produce a magnetic field dependent upon the heading of the craft relative to the earth''s magnetic field, and a second section having a coil which produces an output signal representing the position of that coil relative to the field produced by the first mentioned coils. One of the resolver sections can be rotated relative to the other section to any selected setting representing a desired course which the craft is to follow, and the output of the resolver is then utilized to automatically steer the craft toward that course. In a second mode of operation the output from the resolver may be disconnected from the steering mechanism and be utilized in a non-steering manner to automatically return the rotatable section of the resolver to a position corresponding to the field which is generated in the resolver by the flux gate, and thereby cause the rotatable section of the resolver to follow the earth''s magnetic field and function as a compass repeater.

    摘要: The sailboat control device disclosed herein comprises one actuated by the pulling of a pin positioned therein, whose removal therefrom permits a spring controlled switch to be closed so that the position of the boat rudder is determined by the maneuvering of a wind vane on the boat. A line connected at one end to said pin and at the other end to the sailor on board causes the pin to be pulled or removed from the said device if and when the sailor should fall overboard. Movement of the wind vane and accompanying rotation of the vertical shaft to which it is attached effects movement of the rudder to make the boat travel in a direction not too far from where the sailor has fallen overboard.

    摘要: In a small boat emergency stop apparatus having an operator's cockpit and a passenger seat installed spaced apart from the cockpit, there are provided with an operator transmitter wearable by the operator to transmit a radio-wave signal of a predetermined strength, a passenger transmitters wearable by the passenger to transmit a radio-wave signal of the same predetermined strength and a receiver installed at a location closer to the cockpit than the passenger seat to receives the radio-wave signals transmitted by the operator and passenger transmitters successively. It is identified which of the operator and the passenger is a wearer of the transmitter and is then discriminated whether strength of the radio-wave signal transmitted from the identified wearer is smaller than a predetermined value. When it is, it is discriminated that emergency occurred in the wearer and an emergency action of engine stopping or engine speed reducing is performed.

Once a wave is caught the drive unit can be shut off by the surfer.     摘要: A detection system and method for a marine vessel uses an infrared sensor to detect the presence of a human being or mammal in a target area near the propulsor. A visible light detector is used to determine whether or not a signal received from the infrared sensor is caused by reflected sunlight and not the actual presence of a human being or mammal. By detecting visible light, false triggering of the system in response to infrared radiation received from sunlight can be significantly reduced. Embodiments of the system can monitor gear position and engine speed in combination with signals received from the infrared sensor and visible light sensors to determine an appropriate action to take in response to the presence of infrared radiation above a preselected threshold.
