摘要： A pail and lid with an integral handle molded with the lid includes a pail side wall extending upwardly from the pail bottom to an upper peripheral edge. The lid includes a cover portion shaped to cover the open top and a peripheral skirt depending from said cover portion, said skirt having an upper annular portion and a lower annular portion and both shaped to surround an outer surface of the pail side wall at or adjacent the upper edge and separated by a peripheral tear strip. The handle is integrally formed with said lower portion for carrying the pail. The skirt and pail have co-operating upper and lower pairs of retaining lips shaped to snap over each other by downward movement of the cover portion onto the pail to hold the cover portion on the pail. The skirt is sufficiently stiff to allow both snap actions to be effected simultaneously be pressure downwardly from the cover. The lower pair provide greater retaining force such that, prior to pulling the tear strip, co-operation of said lower retaining lip of the peripheral skirt and said lower retaining lip of the pail provides a strong force in maintaining the cover portion on the pail and such that, upon tearing, co-operation of said lower retaining lip of the peripheral skirt and said lower retaining lip of the pail substantially prevents upward vertical displacement of said lower portion and the handle thereon relative to said pail so that the handle can accept high loads.

摘要： An improved pail structure includes a bottom end engaged with a substantially conical side wall and a top end which has a larger diameter than the bottom end, an annular flange extended horizontally outward from the top end, an annular ring extended upward and tilted slightly outward from the flange, a top rim extended outward from the top edge of the top ring, and a first edge rim folded downward from the top rim. A plastic lining is encased within the inner walls of the pail and has a stepwise upper end matched against the flange and ring and top rim of the pail and a second edge rim covering the first edge rim from outside. A circular lid is provided to engage with the pail at the upper section around the flange and has two lugs formed at two opposite sides for engaging two handles. A pail lid and a protection cover are provided to cover the top opening of the pail. The lid and protection cover have perforation lines to facilitate opening of the pail lid and to prevent the pail lid from opening during transportation and carrying for protecting goods held in the pail from pouring out. The plastic lining may prevent the goods from spoiling by rusting of the pail.
