摘要： A reclosable package has a flexible zipper and a flexible funnel that can be turned inside out to provide a spout for dispensing the package contents. The funnel has a terminal portion that is offset relative to a midplane of the package. Initially, the funnel is tucked inside the filled package in an unopened state. The funnel can be accessed by pulling apart the zipper halves. The consumer must reach inside the open package and pull the funnel inside out. Then the tip of the funnel is snipped, cut or torn to provide a spout for dispensing product. The offset of the opening allows the consumer to better direct the pour of the package contents, while making the bag easier to handle, especially large bags. The funnel itself directs the package contents, especially fine powders, away from the reclosable zipper profiles so that one or both profiles do not become clogged with matter that might interfere with interlocking.

The grooves (14), which are integral to a wall of the bag (10) rather than on a separate evacuation strip, are in liquid communication with the spout (12) and are sized such that the opposing wall of the bag (10) is not completely forced into the grooves (14) under the suction of conventional pumps which are used to withdraw the liquid from the bag (10). Thus, the grooves enable substantially complete withdrawal of the liquid from the bag (10) without the use of an evacuation strip. Additionally, the present invention may be used in any orientation and does not require a slanted rack.

摘要： A plastic fitment with child-safe properties for attachment to a container component of film-like plastic material, includes a tubular body portion defining a through passage having axially spaced ends. A plurality of welding ribs is formed integrally on the outer periphery of the body portion near one axial end of the through passage. Furthermore, a cap member is integrally formed on the body portion near the other axial end, said cap member sealing the through passage at one end. The cap member is attached to the body portion through a weakened portion that is adapted to break when a rotational force is exerted by hand on the cap member. Radially outwardly projecting, wing-like blades are formed on the cap member at diametrically opposite positions thereof so that a person can place his fingers thereon in order to apply the rotational force to the cap member. The dimensions of the cap member relative to those of the body portion are made such that the cap member can be placed on the body portion for repeatedly sealing the through passage after it has been separated from the body portion. The cap member is also permanently attached in one-piece manner to the body portion through a meandering strap. This invention also relates to flexible pouches and beverage packages incorporating said fitment.

摘要： An aperture forming structure, which when attached to or integrally formed in dispenser packages for flowable substances allows reclosure and single or multiple uses. The aperture forming structure includes a break away tip member of thermoformable plastic. The break away tip includes a hollow protrusion from a surface. The intersection of the hollow protrusion and the surface is a fault line. Rupturing of the fault line creates an aperture from which the contents of the dispenser package may exit. A cap may be integrally formed with the aperture forming structure and detached for protecting the hollow protrusion or for closing the aperture created when the fault line is ruptured. The aperture forming structure can be made by heating a relatively stiff substantially flat thermoformable sheet of and then stretching the sheet to create a first and a second hollow protrusion in a tiered configuration. A rupture line is placed at the intersection of the first and the second protrusions. The sheet may be attached to a pouch or containment member formed from a flexible sheet which contains any flowable substance. The disclosed opening and closure concepts are especially effective when used on a tetrahedral-shaped tube. Several dispenser packages include a sealed dispensing container with an easy opening aperture forming structure entirely made from a single sheet of plastic, which is reclosable after a single use by use of an integral formation.
