    摘要： A shipping envelope comprising first, second and third panels, each having a front and a back, are adjoined side to side adjacent a first fold line between the first and second panels, and a second fold line between the second and third panels. The first panel has fixed information including a return address on the front and a first adhesive on the back to secure the first panel to a shipping container. The second and third panels include one or more areas for printing a delivery address and other variable information. A second adhesive secures the first panel to another panel when the panels are folded along the first and second fold lines so that they overlie the first panel, so that the delivery address is facing out on the envelope. Advantageously, the second and third panels comprise a first ply and the first panel comprises a second ply with the first and second plies overlying one another and secured together by a third adhesive therebetween adjacent the first fold line.

    摘要： This invention provides for an essentially open file folder construction where the containment means allows for use of the file folder in an open style as featured in all file folders, while at the same time providing for a box like closure structure that allows for closure along the spine and orthogonal bottom edge of the file folder, which locking closure has the additional feature of showing a substantial portion of the contents, enabling a self typing categorization of the folder by way of the meaning first member contained therein, which member is partially viewable when said file folder is set into its locked configuration. The primary basis for offering the locking feature is by way of a retaining panel along a bottom portion of the back panel with a leading edge substantially at or partially offset from a hinged front panel such that the hinged front panel, when folded backward and into the file folder may be latched behind the retaining panel to lock the front panel in a half open position, thereby forming a containment system, with no other supports for closure than the locking front panel and retaining flap.

    摘要： A mailer intermediate is formed from a sheet having at least one transverse fold line dividing the sheet into a first panel and a second panel such that the first panel longitudinal dimensions are equal to, or exceed the second panel longitudinal dimensions. The second panel is folded over onto the first panel. A temporary tacking agent is applied to the face of the sheet to temporarily tack down the folded over, transverse edge of the lower panel. The mailer intermediate may be processed in this pre-folded condition according to the user's variable imaging needs because there are no loose edges to catch in printer output stacking trays, or jam in internal components of printers. The longitudinal edges of the return envelope panel may be permanently sealed prior to printing, or may be sealed later during processing through folder/sealer equipment.

    摘要： A subfolder insert, or otherwise short-termed a “subfolder” for depicting its sub-file contents, for holding related papers of its conventional file folder, and as such, the subfolder is inserted within the file folder, for separation of designated papers from other papers within the file folder. To avoid the subfolder causing the file folder from being bulky and obscuring the “sub-held” papers, its surface area is effectively less than the surface area of the sub-held papers of a respectively standard size, such as a U.S. letter size and legal size; this, too, allows visual, physical exposure of the sub-held papers for easy reference and manual retrieval from within the subfolder. The front and back panels of the subfolder are integrated along multiple adjacent edges, as ideally a vertical edge and the bottom horizontal edge.—This multi-plane integration allows 1) effective securing and isolation of papers while the subfolder is inside the file folder, 2) easy, lateral insertion and retrieval of designated papers from the subfolder, and 3) easy shuffling and straightening of papers while inside the subfolder. Another feature for easier handling is a pull-tab that flanges independently and is perpendicular to the vertically integrated edge, for holding with one hand while laterally pulling papers from the subfolder with the other hand. This pull-tab may be formed and die-cut from the subfolder's surface area, during manufacture. Also, the subfolder has a through-pass opening that intervenes the integration between the front and back panels. This opening allows the respective corners of voluminous papers to be easily shuffled and aligned along the planes of said integration which would otherwise tend to “bunch up” with resistance upon this area of the subfolder being enclosed.

    摘要： A pouch envelope of otherwise conventional type includes a supplemental flap. In one embodiment, the supplemental flap is secured to the address side of the envelope by an adhesive. In another embodiment, the supplemental flap comprises an extension of the address side of the envelope. The supplemental flap is positioned adjacent the opening into the envelope and provides a resealable adhesive strip on the address side of envelope. The supplemental flap is preferably detachable, as by the provision of a perforate line along the edge of the envelope. The supplemental flap also provides a writing surface on the open side of the envelope so users can make notes on the supplemental flap, such as the date when the envelope was mailed, the person mailing the envelope, the person receiving the envelope, the date the envelope was delivered or the like. The detached supplemental flap thus provides a convenient note that may be used as file reminder or as a note to be placed on the door of the recipient.
