Abstract:
A cleaning system and method for a passenger conveyor system. A cleaning system for a passenger conveyor includes a self-mobility cleaning device configured to move, in response to a cleaning request, to an entrance or exit of a conveying device designated by the cleaning request and to perform a cleaning operation on the designated conveying device.
Abstract:
The application discloses an end cover (30,40) of an anti-clamping device for an apron board, which includes a body (32,42) made of a transparent material or a translucent material; one or multiple LED lighting lamp(s) (36) is(are) provided in the interior of the body; and a coupling member formed on at least a part of the body (32,42), which cooperates with at least a part of the anti-clamping device to form a detachable connection between the body and the anti-clamping device, and the size from a first end of the body (32,42) to a second end thereof is gradually reduced so as to form a smooth transition between the apron board and the anti-clamping device. Providing the end cover reduces the clearance between a step and the apron board, provides enhanced lighting effect in the vicinity of a boundary from a comb to the step, reduces the cost of installation and maintenance, and does not reduce the strength of the apron board.
Abstract:
According to the embodiments of the invention, methods and apparatuses are used for observing the movements of passengers on transport conveyors and presenting advertisements thereon. Steps on an escalator or other conveyer employ touch screens and/or detectors which determine the brand & style of a shoe placed on the step. An image-forming module projects advertisements and other media content onto a transparent glass surface that is viewable by the passengers. The media content is selectively displayed based on the brand and/or style of passengers' shoes. Passengers may interact with the media content via the touch screen by carrying out gestures with their feet. Passenger interest in certain ads is detectable and may be used for consumer research purposes.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a transportation system in an environment comprising several people conveyors as well as a navigation system installed on mobile devices held by the passengers of the transportation system, which transportation system comprises at least one wireless transmission device in connection with at least one of the passenger conveyors, wherein the navigation system comprises a calibration routine for generating a reference position of the mobile device in the environment, and the calibration routine can be initiated, if the distance of the mobile device to the wireless transmission device goes below a threshold value, in which calibration routine the wireless transmission device transfers position and/or identification data to the mobile device, whereupon the navigation system on the mobile device adopts the reference position of the related passenger conveyor.
Abstract:
Described herein is an Advertisement Campaign System Using Escalators and Moving Walkways, the advertising campaign system comprises of advertisements positioned on the balustrades, the moving stairs, the exit of the escalator and the exit of the moving walkway, between two or more escalators, between two or more moving walkways or any other part of the escalator or moving walkway.
Abstract:
An escalator or moving sidewalk exhibits a frame for the formation of a supporting structure between entry and exit that is made at least partially of perforated plate, with the holes in particular being provided over a significant part of the frame height, preferably roughly one half the frame height.
Abstract:
In accordance with the present invention, there is a need for removal of the controller assembly from its stored location within the escalator pit for the purpose of working on the escalator or the escalator controller itself. The risk for human injury associated with this removal can be eliminated through the use of the present invention, that of a power driven ejection device for the automatic removal of the escalator controller from the escalator pit, with the main components of the automatic ejection device being the mounting base/guide tube, the drive system, the carriage, the main attachment pin and the controller attachment bracket, the automatic pivoter and the optional latch and manual release.
Abstract:
An elevator for moving passengers from a first, outside level to a second, inside level at a theme park, and for providing themed special effects during the journey is provided. The elevator includes an elevator car divided into a passenger compartment and a special effects equipment compartment. The passenger compartment appears to the unsuspecting passenger to be a conventional elevator. However, at least one partition in the passenger compartment is opaque when the passenger compartment is illuminated and becomes transparent to reveal illuminated special effects when the lighting in the passenger compartment is extinguished. Special effects equipment can include a pair of video projectors for creating a virtual image which appears to be located outside of the elevator car, along with audio speakers for generating appropriate sound to accompany a video sequence for creating an active visual and audio presentation which can be appropriately themed. In addition, the special effects equipment may include special lights, equipment for inducing vibrations, sparks and smoke, fans for creating air flow in the passenger compartment, scent generators, water spray generators, and the like. The special effects equipment contained in the special effects equipment compartment is controlled by a special effects controller, which may be located off the elevator car and linked to the special effects equipment via the elevator control cable.
Abstract:
A transporter main body has a pair of front wheels and a pair of rear wheels, each of which is adapted to contact with a step of an escalator, a resilient member connected to the bottom of the transporter main body, a mounting structure for mounting a wheelchair, and an extending/retracting device connected with one end of the mounting structure for pivoting the mounting structure in vertical direction. After a wheelchair is mounted on the mounting structure, the wheels allow the transporter main body to be wheeled on the escalator. The resilient member grips the steps of the escalator to allow the wheelchair to ascend or descend with the escalator.
