    摘要: On a gantry crane having a carriage which is used to displace the gantry crane along a straight track formed by parallel rails (1) and which includes a plurality of carriage groups (11), which each have at least two wheels (12) mounted rotatably on a subframe (16) and spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction of the respective rail (1) and of which at least two, preferably all, are connected rotatably about a vertical axis (23) to an end carriage (10) of the gantry crane, at least one measuring device (26) is present for at least one carriage group (11) connected rotatably about the vertical axis (23) to the associated end carriage (10). The measuring device can detect a track position of at least one of the wheels (12) of the carriage group (11) with respect to the rail (1) on which it rolls and can output a track position value (a) that corresponds to the respective track position. An actuator (28) acting between the carriage group (11) and the associated end carriage (10) is controlled by a regulating device (48, 49), to which the track position value (a) output by the measuring device (26) is fed. The carriage group (11) can be subjected by the actuator (28) to a torque (m) about the vertical axis (23) that is determined by the control.

    摘要: A skew correcting apparatus for a crane supported on spaced apart generally parallel rails by a plurality of wheels including a drive wheel traveling on each of the parallel rails. The drive wheels traveling on the spaced apart rails are driven such that they rotate at the same speed. One of the drive wheels has an axially extending single diameter cylindrical surface engaging the top side of the rail head and a radially extending circumferential flange facing the inner side of the rail head. In one of the skewed positions of the crane, one of the wheels lags the other of the wheels and is subject to high levels of skew force such that the flange of the lagging wheel and the inner side of the rail head it faces engage each other. Each one of the wheels also includes a flange juncture surface joining the cylindrical surface of the flange of each wheel. The flange juncture surface faces the shoulder surface of the rail head and includes a flange cross-sectional curvature having a flange radius greater than the shoulder radius of the faced rail head. In the lagging one of the wheels, in response to small levels of skew force less than the levels of skew force that cause the flange of the lagging wheel and the inner side of the rail head to engage, the flange juncture surface moves into engagement with the facing shoulder surface to increase the diameter of the lagging one of the wheels in engagement with the shoulder surface.

    摘要: In a crane having two trolleys free to move independently and parallel to each other and supporting a common load, such as a spreader, an apparatus is provided to alert the operator of the crane when the common load is excessively skewed. In one embodiment, a flexible inextensible cable connects the two trolleys together. One end of the cable is joined to one trolley and the other end of the cable is joined to a constant tension spring carried by the other trolley. Once the two trolleys are aligned without the common load being skewed, any relative motion between the two trolleys causes the load to become skewed and a change in relative position of that end of the cable joined to the constant tension spring. A tripping device is positioned adjacent to that end of the cable joined to the constant tension spring. The tripping device actuates an alarm or other suitable circuit to alert the crane operator when the two trolleys are excessively misaligned or when the load carried by the trolleys has been excessively skewed.

The running surfaces are on sides of a median longitudinal plane of the guide rail and each pulley has a flange for freely gripping the guide rail. A device and method protecting against loss of vehicle guidance include a section with longitudinal height fixed along its length to a guide rail part, between running surfaces, the section having a cross-section guiding the unit during derailment or loss of guidance thereof with the section fixed to the guide rail part. The cross-section geometry holds the first pulley flange on the side of the median plane including the first pulley running surface and the second pulley flange on the side including the second pulley running surface. A device fixes the section to the guide rail.

    摘要: Control system for controlling a dynamic physical system. New, substantially decoupled axes are derived from physical axes of a dynamic system. Closed-loop controllers operate on signals representing the new or synthesized axes to control the coordinate parameters. Control signals are then converted into the original physical axes to generate signals to control the original axes. A preferred embodiment is the application of the control technique to a gantry machine having three degrees of freedom. Actual coordinates are converted to one linear coordinate and one rotational coordinate. The bandwidth of controllers operating on these two coordinates are separated so that crosstalk is diminished and performance improved.
