The method includes addition of a flocculant to a biological sludge, which includes an aqueous phase and a suspended solid organic material, flocculating and dewatering the sludge. The flocculant includes a polymer composition, which includes a cationic crosslinked first polymer, which is selected from crosslinked polyamines, and a cationic second polymer, which is a polymer obtained by polymerization of (meth)acrylamide and cationic monomers, the second cationic polymer being polymerized in presence of the cationic first polymer.

摘要: Provided is a filtration system and process that enhances mineral removal from sludge through a novel recirculation and mixing apparatus. In one example, the system may include a filter configured to remove minerals from sludge, a pump configured to move the sludge towards the filter, a pre-filtering system configured to add an agent into the sludge prior to the sludge making contact with the filter, a drainage collection system including one ore more reservoirs configured to collect water drained during and/or after the filtering and feedback the drained water to the pump, and valving configured configured to mix the drained water with the sludge to generate a mixture which is moved by the pump towards the filter.

摘要: Methods for flocculating solid particles in a provided suspension including specifying a target charge density of the suspension at which the solid particles flocculate; providing a flocculant having a charge density; determining, at a plurality of measuring times, the suspension charge density present in the suspension in the course of a titrimetric analysis, measuring the flow potential; determining, at respective of the measuring times, a quantity of the flocculant needing to be added to ensure optimal flocculation based on the target charge density, the flocculant charge density, and the suspension charge density present at the respective measuring time; and subsequently adding the determined quantity of flocculant into the suspension; and systems therefor. The methods and systems can provide the actual demand of flocculant needed for efficient flocculation in a continuous flocculation method of a suspension.

摘要: An apparatus for preparing and dispensing a flocculant solution to dewatering an aqueous process stream includes a mixing pump, a maturing tank, and a feeding unit. The mixing pump mixes the flocculant solution and builds up a pressure onto the flocculant solution. The maturing pressure tank is fluidly connected with the mixing pump, so that the pressurized diluted flocculant solution is led from the mixing pump into the maturing pressure tank and matured therein under pressure that is above atmosphere pressure.

摘要: Embodiments relate continuous process for treating tailings that includes providing tailings for treatment having at least 20 wt % solids, providing a mixing apparatus having a first inlet for feeding the tailings, a second inlet for feeding flocculants, an outlet for a mixture of the tailings and flocculants, and a rotating disk, the first inlet being separate from the second inlet, the second inlet being above the rotating disk, and the rotating disk having a tip speed at least 2 m/s, continuously introducing into the mixing apparatus the tailings through the first inlet and the flocculants through the second inlet, allowing the tailings and the flocculants to mix on the rotating disk to form the mixture of the tailings and flocculants, continuously removing the mixture of the tailings and flocculants through the outlet to form a treated mixture, and flowing the treated mixture from the mixing apparatus for further treatment or to a disposal area.

摘要: A process for producing a multivalent cation containing copolymer, containing: contacting a multivalent cation containing ethylenically unsaturated acid and at least one comonomer to produce a monomer mixture comprising the multivalent cation containing ethylenically unsaturated acid present in an amount in the range of from about 5% to about 65% by weight; and contacting the monomer mixture with a redox initiator comprising a reducing compound and an oxidising compound and contacting the monomer mixture with a thermal initiator to cause the multivalent cation containing ethylenically unsaturated acid and the at least one comonomer to react to produce the multivalent cation containing copolymer, wherein the thermal initiator is used in the range 100 to 5000 ppm.

摘要: A method for the treatment of oil-based sludge by thermal desorption, characterized in that it comprises a step of conditioning of the sludge to be treated which includes the conditioning of the oil-based sludge with rice husk in a 1:2 ratio, before entering the TDU, increasing the technical and economic viability and cost relation of the thermal desorption for oil-based sludge treatment, showing better performance, and making possible the treatment of sludge on an industrial scale with effective rates of 28.6 m3/day, oil recovery of 54%, with a volumetric increase of 19%, compared to the original volume, and a fuel consumption adjusted to the historical data of the TDU from the economic point of view, which allows to have a high amount of rice husk, reducing the costs associated with the elimination of this agro-industrial waste.
