摘要: A fiberizing device includes a housing, a receiving seat mounted on the housing, and a drawing device. The receiving seat includes a receiving groove having a discharge port. The receiving groove receives molten fluid formed by heating waste. A heating device is provided for heating the molten fluid in the receiving seat. The drawing device draws the molten fluid from the discharge port to form a solid fiber after the molten fluid comes in contact with cool air. The solid fiber possesses excellent fire-resistant properties and thus can be used as fire-resistant materials.

摘要: The present inventions relate to the means of production of high-silicate inorganic fibers of natural acidic rock minerals and also to products manufactured of said fibers, namely: continuous, staple fibers and scaly particles. In each variant of the M dacite or rhyodacite, granite or rhyolite, or a rock comprising mostly sand with silicon oxide content equal or exceeding 73% are used as a rock. The present inventions aim at proposing the means for producing inorganic fibers of natural acidic rock minerals and also the products manufactured of said fibers, namely: continuous, staple and coarse fibers and fine scaly particles having increased strength, corrosion and temperature resistance. This objective is attained by creating conditions for removing foreign inclusions, having high melting and boiling temperatures, from the melt by way of using rocks with higher silicon oxide (SiO2) content and, therefore, higher melting points, as raw materials. This enables removal of most of foreign inclusions from the melted rock to the atmosphere.

摘要: The present invention proposes a novel apparatus and method for the manufacture of glass fibers utilizing a bushing confining a body of molten glass over an orifice plate which may or may not have depending tips. Interposed in the glass body is a plate or other device for reducing the pressure of the molten glass body over the orifice plate to a pressure no greater than atmospheric pressure. The orifices are of relatively large diameter incapable of imposing a substantial pressure drop on molten glass flowing therethrough. Each tip contains a pool of molten glass at no greater than atmospheric pressure and, during fiber attenuation, a forming cone is drawn from the pool in each tip. The cones are located in the tips, each cone is smaller than the surrounding tip and each cone is stabilized on the interior tip wall by an annular glass portion integral with the cone. The process is dripless, since upon fiber interruption at any given tip, the molten glass pool remains in the tip.

摘要: A glass fiber attenuation apparatus and process wherein molten glass is supplied from a molten glass body to an orifice plate at substantially atmospheric pressure to prevent molten glass flow through an orifice at which attenuation has ceased, thus permitting continuation of the attenuation process despite breakouts at individual orifices. The preferred embodiment of the method includes the steps of cooling the orifice plate undersurface to a non-wetting temperature and delivering molten glass to the orifice plate at a pressure less than the internal, surface tension-generated pressure of any bead formed on the undersurface of the orifice plate upon attenuation cessation at that orifice. The preferred embodiment of the apparatus includes a perforate pressure plate immersed in the body of molten glass and superimposed over the orifice plate to effect a pressure drop upon normal attenuation flow which is sufficient to reduce the pressure immediately above the orifice plate to substantially atmospheric pressure or, in any event, to a pressure less than the internal pressure of a bead or globule formed on attenuation cessation at an orifice. The orifice plate may be of either the planar, non-tipped type or of the tipped type, and the orifice plate may be cooled to the appropriate temperature either by gas flow cooling directed at the undersurface of the orifice plate or by fin shields.
