摘要： A hair stylist device comprises a top and bottom board, each having a plurality of opposed bristles for retaining strands of bulk artificial or commercial hair therebetween for performing hairstyling operations, and including a hinge mechanism for opening and closing the boards around the bulk hair retaining it loosely but securely, while allowing the removal of strands of bulk hair without opening the device providing optimal gripping ability to the bulk hair while permitting removal of hair without unnecessary loss. The board inner surfaces each may have a generally planar pad with plural embedded bristles extending in a direction perpendicular to one surface of the pad. A longitudinal hinge connects the two boards to each other and a lock can secure the opposite longitudinal ends to each other. Compartments disposed at a surface of the boards provide storage for any necessary accessories required for the braiding or weaving process.

摘要： The extraction arm of a fiber bale opening machine is provided with an adjustable grid made up of spaced apart grid bars between which driveable fiber removal members project to detach tufts of fiber from the bales. The depth of projection of the fiber removal members through the grid is adjustable by adjustment of the positions of the grid bars. The grid bars are mounted at their two ends on respective pivot spindles and at least one lever mechanism rotates a pivot shaft to move the pivot spindles up or down to lift or lower the grid bars. Also, the grid bars are restrained against undesired movements in the direction of their lengths by suitable stops or slots.

摘要： The opening device for opening pressed fiber bales, e.g. cotton bales or the like comprises opening rollers containing opening disks or needles to coact with a grate. If the opening device and the fiber bales contact each other in movement, the teeth of the opening disks or the like engage the fiber bales. To this effect, the grate rods (22,39,43) comprise an offset portion (32,40,43) extending transversely to the direction of travel (5) of the opening device (1), at least one opening disk (28;29) being arranged ahead of and/or behind the offset portion. Thus, an equalizing effect is achieved for the removal of flocks from the fiber bales.

摘要： A silver feed and opening device for open-end spinning applications comprises a housing having a rotatable opening roller associated with a pivotable guide plate having a first sliver guide portion for directing incoming sliver to the opening roller, a second arcuate fiber guide portion extending along a portion of the opening roller circumference in its direction of rotation, and a third debris guide portion extending outwardly from the opening roller and defining with the housing a debris discharge opening. The guide plate is of a unitary one-piece construction without joints between individual portions to prevent undesirable fiber accumulation which tends to occur in conventional devices. Each of the fiber and debris guide portions of the guide plate are spaced sufficiently from the sidewalls of the housing to form side slots which are a multiple of the thickness of the fibers, thereby to prevent accumulation thereof between the guide plate and the housing.

摘要： A bale opener is arranged for travel along a series of fiber bales and has a detaching (opening) device for progressively removing and hurling away fiber tufts from top faces of the fiber bales. The detaching device includes a generally horizontally supported opening roller having a roller axis and equipped with detaching teeth and a grate urged against top faces of the bales. The grate is formed by a series of side-by-side arranged grate bars spaced from one another in a direction parallel to the roller axis. The teeth project between adjoining grate bars and penetrate into top faces of the bales. A first imaginary contour line, defining a plane with the roller axis, interconnects tips of axially adjacent teeth of the opening roller and a second imaginary contour line, defining a plane with the roller axis, lies in an underface of each grate bar and interconnects side-by-side arranged grate bars in a direction generally along the roller axis. At least one of the first and second contour lines extends at least in part non-parallel to the axis of the opening roller.
