摘要： An apparatus for reducing pressed fiber bales arranged in a row is disclosed which facilitates removal of fibers from the upper surface of the bales adjacent a stationary member (28). Transversely extending rollers (18, 19) parallel to milling rollers (4, 5) are provided with blocking means (25, 26). These blocking means may be actuated to prevent rotation of rollers (18, 19). As rollers (18, 19) are carried by housing (2) so as to extend slightly beyond the housing in the direction of travel (16). Upon reaching stationary member (28), blocking means prevents rotation of roller (19). The teeth of roller (19) act as a rake to remove fibers from bale (24a) adjacent stationary member (28) as reducing means (1) starts its travel in the return direction. In this manner, the fibers from the entire upper surface of bale (24) are more totally and uniformly removed.

摘要： Centrifugal separator drum (FIG. 1) for the clarification and separation of liquids, having one or more paring systems 12, 13 for the removal of the clarified or separated liquids, a stationary inlet tube 11 which communicates with a smooth, cylindrical inlet chamber 18, which rotates with the drum and is affixed to the latter, via an opening that is slightly larger than the inlet tube. Outlets ports 20 lead out of the inlet chamber into a forechamber 21 which communicates on the one hand with an annular chamber 24 situated ahead of the inlet chamber and on the other hand with the riser passages 23 of the plate insert 4. According to the invention, the inlet chamber 18 is sealed off from the external atmosphere; the distance from the outlet of the inlet tube 11 to the entry of the outlet ports 20 amounts to at least thrice the inside diameter of the inlet chamber, and the total cross section of the outlet ports is smaller than the cross section of the inlet chamber and larger than the cross section of the inlet tube. The outlet ports have one or more chokes. Thereby, during operation, an increased liquid pressure develops in the lower part of the inlet chamber ahead of the outlet ports and the inlet chamber can be kept largely filled with liquid.

摘要： A headrest assembly used in a motor-vehicle seat formed with an upwardly open recess has a pair of complementary housing shells having mating annular edges that meet and are joined together substantially on an upright plane to form a cavity. Each shell is formed with a pair of seat halves open at the plane and forming with the seat halves of the other shell a pair of seats aligned along a horizontal axis and lying on the plane. The joined shells are set and secured in the recess of the seat. Respective pivot bodies in the cavity engaged in the seats are pivotal therein about the axis between upright and horizontal positions. Respective support rods extend radially from the pivot bodies out of the cavity and a headrest is fixed on the support rods outside the cavity.
