    摘要: A textile machine has a spinning frame whose working elements, such as spindles, for respective whorls tangentially driven by a common belt. In order to allow energy efficient start-up of the individual whorls while the remaining whorls continue to be driven by the belt and without effecting the remaining whorls, the individual working element or spindles and their whorls are provided with a pivot pressing roller carrier whose pressing roller can hold the belt with normal pressing pressure at operating speed, can relieve the pressing pressure for braking of the individual whorl, and can press the belt with increased force against the individual whorl by manual operation of a lever individual to each mechanism for start-up.

    摘要: A stop spindle for textile machines, particularly spinning and twisting machines. A ferromagnetic clutch element, formed e.g. by a circular disc, is mounted axially displaceably between the whirl of the stop spindle and a brake lining behind which there is mounted an electromagnet. The brake lining is made of non-magnetic material and is mounted between the pole shoes of a permanent magnet. The electromagnet is energized by an electric pulse so as to create a magnetic field which is additive with respect to the magnetic field of the permanent magnet, whereby to start the driving of the spindle; the electromagnet is energized by an electric pulse so as to create a magnetic field which is substractive with respect to the magnetic field of the permanent magnet whereby to stop the driving of the spindle and to brake it.

    摘要: In the case of an arrangement for disposing and driving a spinning rotor of an open-end spinning unit which, by means of a rotor shaft, is disposed in wedge-shaped gaps formed by two pairs of supporting disks and is driven by a belt looping around it, it is provided that the belt is looped around a driving pulley of an electric motor which, with respect to the supporting disks, is arranged in the area opposite the rotor shaft and which, for the tightening of the belt, is movably held in a guide in a plane extending at least approximately through the wedge-shaped gap. A belt holding device is provided for holding the belt in a relaxed position so that the spinning rotor shaft can be readily axially withdrawn and exchanged without requiring any disassembly of the belt drive.

    摘要: A spinning apparatus has a flyer which is rotated about its axis by a belt drive at one axial end of a spindle carrying the flyer. Received within the flyer and rotatable relative thereto is a yarn-package holder comprising a plush-lined cup snugly receiving a coreless package of glass-fiber yarn, and a takeup tube whose mouth lies within the package. A thread brake is provided within the takeup tube and the yarn holder is prevented from rotating with the flyer. The yarn of one or more threads is drawn off the inside of the package into the mouth of the nonrotating takeup tube, thence enters the end of the rotating spindle, passes radially out through the flyer under the yarn-package holder, and thence axially out through the rotating sleeve of the flyer. The tube of the flyer is formed by a pair of nested tubes connected by a corrugated stiffening element.

    摘要: A mounting arrangement for the turbine shaft of a spinning turbine machine. A spinning turbine is connected to one end of the turbine shaft while the other end of the shaft is mounted in an axial bearing support. Pairs of supporting rollers are arranged to form a wedge gap within which the turbine shaft rotates. Driving means, including either a tangential belt or a rotating disk, are provided for rotating the turbine shaft. The driving means are angularly adjustable so as to exert an axial thrust on the turbine shaft in the direction of the axial bearing support during the operation of the machine. Braking means are provided which are angularly adjustable for also exerting an axial thrust on the turbine shaft during braking. Auxiliary axial thrust producing devices, such as air screws, magnets, and the like can also be used to hold the turbine shaft against the axial bearing support.

There is also disclosed an apparatus for stopping a spindle of a multiple spindle tape drive having a moving tape in contact with a spindle whorl, which apparatus comprises tape lifting means for relieving the contact of the tape on the whorl, the tape lifting means comprising a nozzle injecting compressed air between the tape and the whorl in the direction of movement of the tape.
