Abstract: A brake assembly including a first brake piston; a second brake piston; and a parking brake assembly. The parking brake assembly includes a power transfer mechanism and a motor providing power to the power transfer mechanism. During a parking brake apply, the power transfer mechanism provides the power to both the first brake piston and the second brake piston so that both the first brake piston and the second brake piston are moved until a resistance of the second brake piston becomes higher than a resistance of the first brake piston. The power transfer mechanism then transfers the power from the second brake piston to the first brake piston so that the second brake piston ceases to move and additional power is supplied to the first brake piston.

Abstract: A brake caliper includes a caliper body. The caliper body has a first accommodation trough and a second accommodation trough. The first accommodation trough is provided with at least one piston and two first brake linings pushed by the piston. The second accommodation trough is provided with two second brake linings. The two second brake linings are connected with a drive unit. When the user pedals the brake pedal of a vehicle, the brake master cylinder of the vehicle pushes the piston to link the two first brake linings to clamp both sides of the disc to perform foot brake. When the user activates the electric parking brake of the vehicle, the drive unit will push the two second brake linings to perform electronic hand brake.
