Abstract:
Articles are prepared from paper containing different types of fibers. In a granulation step, bagasse is pulverized to produce a sugar cane pulp powder of granules. In a pulping process, pulp is produced from Manila hemp. In a mixing step, sugar cane pulp powder, and the pulp produced in preceding steps, are mixed. In the papermaking process, Japanese washi paper is produced by using a mixture of pulp powder and pulp. In a slitting process, the produced Japanese washi paper is slit. In a twisting process, the slit Japanese washi paper yarn is twisted to produce a paper yarn.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and system for manufacturing a fibrous yarn. An aqueous suspension having fibers and at least one rheology modifier is directed through at least one nozzle to form at least one fibrous yarn. The said nozzle is adapted to swirl the flow of the aqueous suspension around the main flow axis of the said nozzle. Then the aqueous suspension at the exit of the nozzle is merged with at least one annular flow comprising at least one cross linking reagent. Then the fibrous yarn is subjected to pressing mechanism. The pressing mechanism is adapted to dewater and twist the fibrous yarn. Finally, a fibrous yarn product having improved physical properties is produced.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for producing fibre yarn is provided. The novel apparatus includes a first transportation and pressing element (1) and a second transportation and pressing element (5) arranged adjacent to the first transportation and pressing element as well as elements for driving the transportation and pressing elements (1, 5). The first and second transportation and pressing elements (1, 5) are arranged to form a nip there between. The apparatus also includes a nozzle (9) for feeding fibre suspension (6), such as pulp fibre suspension, to the nip between the first and second transportation and pressing elements (1, 5).
Abstract:
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a composite yarn of paper, e.g., traditional Korean paper, and a composite yarn manufactured thereby, a method for manufacturing a fabric using the same and an automotive interior material manufactured thereby. More particularly, the present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a composite yarn of traditional Korean paper by using a traditional Korean paper yarn and a synthetic yarn, in which the composite yarn can be used in weaving and knitting, and a method for manufacturing a fabric as an automotive interior material using the same. Accordingly, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a composite yarn of paper, comprising twisting a tape-type paper yarn, and covering the twisted paper yarn as a ground yarn at least two strands of synthetic yarn as an effect yarn to manufacture a composite yarn of paper of 160˜700 denier.
Abstract:
A low density body such as a sheet, board or molding usable as a cushioning material, heat-insulating material, sound-absorbing material, filter, low density base paper or the like is provided. The low density body having a density of 0.05 to 0.45 g/cm.sup.3 is prepared by dewatering a slurry containing fine fibers having a bond-reinforcing factor of at least 0.15 and curled fibers having a wet curl factor of 0.4 to 1.0, and drying the resultant product.
