摘要: A flat knitting machine yarn feeder with variable yarn feeding positions is provided. The flat knitting machine yarn feeder includes a driving mechanism and a yarn feeding mechanism. The driving mechanism is controlled by an electronic signal and includes a driving plate which makes a push stroke after started. The yarn feeding mechanism comprises a joining plate connected with the driving plate and a yarn feeding arm assembled with the joining plate. The joining plate comprises a guide hole. The yarn feeding arm comprises a guide column disposed in the guide hole. The joining plate makes a displacement stroke when the driving plate makes the push stroke. The guide column changes a position in the guide hole when the joining plate makes the displacement stroke. The yarn feeding arm changes a yarn feeding position when the guide column changes the position.

摘要: A knitted component for an article of footwear having a vertically inlaid tensile element is described. The vertically inlaid tensile element extends along a direction that is vertical or at an angle to the direction of the knitting process of the knitted component. A method of knitting the knitted component includes placing a quantity of a tensile element into an auxiliary element of the knitted component and vertically inlaying a tensile element by using needles of a knitting machine to hold the tensile element by loops while the remaining portion of the knitted component is formed. As the knitted component is formed along a horizontal direction on the needles of the knitting machine, the tensile element spools out from within the auxiliary element to form the vertically inlaid tensile element.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a knitted fabric embodying a basic knit, into which at least one functional yarn filament, such as an electrically conductive yarn filament, is incorporated as a vertical yarn filament (F3). The basic knit is formed from a first and a second yarn (F1, F2) using a plaiting technique. The vertical yarn filament (F3) is incorporated by a third yarn carrier (FF3) positioned, on a third yarn carrier rail located between respective yarn carrier rails for the first and the second yarn carriers (FF1, FF2), at a location at which the vertical yarn filament (F3) is to be incorporated. During formation of a sequence of stitch rows (MR1-MR7) using the first and second yarns (F1, F2), the first yarn (F1) is guided over the vertical yarn filament (F3) on a front side of the knitted fabric and the second yarn (F2) is guided over the vertical yarn filament (F3) on a back side of the knitted fabric.

摘要: An article of footwear and a variety of other products may incorporate a knitted component. An inlaid strand extends through the knitted component. A combination feeder may be utilized to inlay the strand within the knitted component. As an example, the combination feeder may include a feeder arm that reciprocates between a retracted position and an extended position. In manufacturing the knitted component, the feeder inlays the strand when the feeder arm is in the extended position, and the strand is absent from the knitted component when the feeder arm is in the retracted position.
