The sewing machine includes: a sewing needle, held by a needle bar and moving back and forth while holding an upper thread; a shuttle, configured to hold a bobbin around which a lower thread is wound and which is housed in a bobbin case, and cooperating with the sewing needle to form a seam; a presser foot member, configured to press a to-be-sewn article at a sewing position directly below the sewing needle; a feeding mechanism, feeding the to-be-sewn article from the sewing position to a first direction; a needle drive portion, provided separately from a belt drive portion to synchronously move the sewing needle and the presser foot component in the first direction; and a control portion, which controls so that the needle drive portion and the belt drive portion operate independently.

An automated sewing process feed control system is disclosed in which a material aligner is utilized. An omni-chain material aligner can include a circular roller chain in which the rollers allow for a controlling force to be applied to a material. An omni-belt material aligner can include a belt with attached perpendicular rollers which allow feed control and active motorized steering control. The material aligner can control the pressure applied onto the material to facilitate control of feeding the material.

摘要： An anti-puckering apparatus for forming, on a work piece, a line of stitching substantially free from puckering is disclosed. The apparatus includes a removable base which is added to a sewing machine bed surface proximate to a needle and a stitch formation zone. The apparatus also includes a carrier mounted on, and moveable relative to, the base and an endless row of flexible filamentary elements carried by the carrier. The carrier progressively moves subsets of filamentary elements into and out of a stitch formation zone during the formation of a line of stitching. The filamentary elements are presented across a stitch formation zone in advance of an intended line of stitching at an oblique angle relative to a sewing machine bed surface.

Thus, thread tension can be precisely adjusted. A sewing machine 1 includes a spherical body 22a exposed partly from a needle plate 2. 摘要： A pivoting twin roller for feeding a material to a sewing machine is disclosed. The twin rollers grip the material with serrated rollers, which rotate at the same rate for uniformly moving the material relative the sewing machine. The twin rollers press down on the material with equal force due to the central pivot point, which improves the feed of the material. The pivoting twin rollers also allow for automatic feeding of material to the sewing machine. A spring loading on the housing for the pivoting twin rollers applies downward pressure on the material being sewn for a sure grip thereon. The downward pressure also insures that the rollers will press down with equal force on uneven height materials since the pivot adjusts the height of the rollers to the height of the materials and thus prevents floating which can lead to jamming of the sewing machine.

摘要： A collar attachment station having an automatic collar loading system that includes a pair of guide rollers about which a circular collar is received. The guide rollers have a substantially conical construction and a roughened outer surface.
