    摘要: A transmission fluid cooling system includes a cooler-bypass unit having a banjo bolt relief valve. The banjo bolt relief valve includes a head portion and a body portion. A relief valve is incorporated into the body portion. A valve seat is formed between the head portion and body portion. A ball is biased against the valve seat toward the head portion by a spring within the body portion. When the transmission fluid is cool and viscous, pressure buildup in the head portion overcomes the spring bias of the ball against the valve seat, permitting the flow of transmission fluid through the cooler-bypass unit, bypassing the transmission fluid cooling unit.

    摘要: A dry disconnect coupling assembly which includes a body with a first end flangedly connected to a manifold and a second end releasably secured to an angle valve, for allowing fluid to flow through the coupling assembly. At the point of engagement between the assembly body and the angle valve, there is included a first angle poppit valve for sealably engaging against the inner wall of the flow bore of the angle valve and a check valve for sealably engaging against the internal wall of the assembly body, with the angle poppit valve and the assembly body sealing adjacent one another for providing minimal space therebetween. Should there be a need for a controlled break in the engagement between the angle valve and the assembly body, the poppit valve would be controllably moved to its sealing position by the actuator, and the check valve will be controllably moved to its sealing position by a coil spring, so that any fluid which may be contained in the assembly body will be sealed between the ship's manifold and the assembly check valve, and any fluid which may be contained within the angle valve will be sealed between the poppit valve and the flow bore of the angle valve. The controlled closure of the valves dissipates back pressure buildup in the system, while the positioning of the valving elements results in a minimal amount of fluid spillage left in the space between the two valving elements.

    摘要: A piston compressor has a valve support, which closes a compression chamber and has an intake valve. A non-rotatable lamella can be moved between two positions, in one position the lamella lifts up from the valve support, leaving intake openings unblocked and in another position, the lamella closes the intake openings. A device is provided on the piston compressor for interrupting the supply. This device has a plate that is disposed between the lamella and the valve support and can be moved into two positions. The plate has openings, which continue the intake openings of the valve support. In the one position of the plate, its intake openings are covered by the lamella. In another position of the plate, intake openings thereof and the intake openings of the valve support are left unblocked by through openings in the lamella. The piston compressor can be used in compressed air brake systems of commercial vehicles.

    摘要: A variable flow-restricting and apportioning device for an aircraft ejector rack system having a pair of fluid-actuated thrusters includes a pair of rotatable feed conduits for supplying pressurized fluid to the thrusters. Each feed conduit has an exit flow passage at its exit end which is eccentric relative to the longitudinal axis about which the conduit is rotatable, and the exit end of each feed conduit slidably fits into a female receptacle in a receiver in fluid communication with one of the thrusters. Each receptacle includes a mating face therein which has a receiver port for supplying fluid to the respective thruster. The receiver port is eccentric relative to the rotational axis of the feed conduit. Rotating each feed conduit relative to the respective receiver causes varying degree of overlap between the eccentric exit flow passages and the eccentric receiver ports, thereby defining variable-size flow orifices at each receiver.

    摘要: A metal face sealing coupler providing high elasticity and/or spring back to maintain effective annular sealing between male and female coupling members while allowing and lateral movement for make up of the two coupling members. The female member has a main body with an internal poppet valve and a metal face seal with high deflection and spring back capability, generally an E-ring. An outer shell is attached to the main body and provides lateral support for the metal sealing element, lateral guidance and vertical connection to a support ring and lateral guidance and indexing of the female member during make up with the male member. The support ring allows the main body a limited lateral movement when the female member makes up with the male member. The female member fits inside the outer shell. The male member, with an internal poppet valve, engages the metal face sealing element, which flexes and allows for sealing in any position within a pre defined longitudinal tolerance envelope. The metal sealing element is plastically and elastically deformed to the proper relative position between the male and female members and has a revocable significant elastic spring back when the male and female members are parted which allows the connection to be made up repeatedly with the same seal.

    摘要: A freezeless wall hydrant for delivery of hot or cold water from a single discharge conduit has first and second fluid inlet pipes in parallel spaced relation. The pipes have forward and rearward ends and are connected respectively to sources of hot and cold pressurized water. A laterally extending fluid conduit member connects the forward ends of the first and second fluid inlet pipes and is in communication therewith. A fluid closure valve is located in the rearward ends of each of the first and second fluid pipes. A check valve is in each of the pipes forwardly of the fluid closure valves and is capable of permitting fluid flow in the pipes in a direction from the closure valve, but prevents fluid flow towards the closure valves. A valve rod having forward and rearward ends rotatably extends through the laterally extending fluid conduit and through the forward ends of the first and second inlet pipes and has one end operatively connected to the check valves in the rearward ends of the fluid inlet pipes. A handle is located on a protruding forward end of the valve rods to permit the manual movement of the rods to open or close the fluid closure valves. A fluid exit conduit has a rearward end in communication with the laterally extending fluid conduit and extends forwardly and downwardly and terminates in a hose threaded portion. A check valve is located in the fluid exit conduit to prevent fluid flow therein only towards the forward end of the fluid exit conduit.
