Abstract: A foldable floor heating panel can be folded longitudinally and laterally. The foldable floor heating panel includes several small plate-like members of a rectangular plan configuration, which are arranged longitudinally and laterally so as to be adjacent to each other. A flexible thin plate is attached to upper surfaces of the small plate-like members so as to allow longitudinal and lateral folding. Heat carrier flexible tube passages are provided in longitudinal and lateral folding portions of the panel so as to leave some play, and folding margin members are provided at the lateral folding portions. Fit-in members are attachably and detachably provided in respective heat carrier flexible tube passages with some play.

Abstract: A plate to reinforce a shear panel that has been weakened by an opening extending through the panel is provided. The plate is selected to have a shear load capacity greater than the shear panel without the opening. The plate has a plate opening similar to the panel opening, and is secured to the panel with a predetermined strength and arrangement of panel fasteners. The plate is sized to fit between adjacent structural members. Opposing side flanges extend outwardly from the plate. Flange fasteners of predetermined strength and spacings are used to secure the flanges to the structural members.

Abstract: A firestop coupling assembly (10, 210 or 310) for allowing the passage of utility members (50 or 52) through a penetration in a partition (54 or 56) while preventing the transmission of fire and smoke through the penetration. Abstract: Rectangular floor panels fit together to define a raised floor capable of accommodating wires/cables in a space within a building. Orthogonally arranged wireways are defined in a molded plastic portion that provides passageways between these wireways, and support post or pillars receive a composite top panel. The plastic panel portion has removable segments to accommodate outlet device brackets made accessible through openings in the top panel. One version has a recessed center portion of the plastic panel that can be fitted with an insert to define a central wireway channel, or to receive a centrally located floor box and hinged access door. Another version has a somewhat larger recessed center cavity with a smaller removable segment that can be left in place to better support the top panel when left in place.
