At least one first tensioned tie bar joins the end bracket on the first ledger to the lower end of the vertical strut, and at least one second tensioned tie bar joins the end bracket on the second ledger to the lower end of the vertical strut.

    摘要: A device for locking steel reinforcing or prestressing members (15) in a positive manner in an anchorage (14) includes an axially extending cylindrical anchoring sleeve (1) with a throughbore (2) and a deformation section (3) extending from a leading end in the setting direction (S) and divided by axially extending slots (4) into at least six bending elements (5). An expanding element (8) with a throughbore (9) free of threads has a contact surface (10) for the bending elements (5) and the contact surface is inclined relative to the axis A of the anchoring sleeve (1). The expanding element (8) can be displaced against the deformation section (3) for spreading the bending elements (5) radially outwardly against the receiving surface of a receiving bore in a base material forming the anchorage. The contact surface (10) forms an angle (.alpha.) with the axis (A) of the anchoring sleeve (1) in a range of approximately 30.degree. to 80.degree.. The axial length of the bending elements is dimensioned, so that the outside diameter of the leading end of the deformation section in the anchored state amounts to 140%, at a maximum, of such diameter in the unexpanded state. The securement of the anchoring sleeve (1) is achieved by a positive lock in an undercut formed in the receiving bore in the base material.

    摘要: A concrete filled steel tube column which includes: a steel tube connected to beams of a structure so that an axial compressive load is transferred from the beams to the steel tube; and a concrete core, disposed within the steel tube, for bearing an axial compressive load transferred from the beams via the steel tube to the concrete core. The steel tube has a plurality of prestressed tube pieces concentrically joined in series. Each of these tube pieces has an axial prestress introduced into it to counteract a stress resulting from the compressive load applied to the steel tube. With this arrangement, substantially no axial stress is induced in the steel tube. In constructing the column, a steel tube piece is erected, and beams are joined to the tube piece. An axial tensile load is applied to the tube piece so that an axial stress is induced in the tube piece. After the application of the load, concrete is charged into the tube piece. After the concrete is cured, the tensile load is released from the tube piece so that the concrete core is subjected to an axial compression as a reaction to the application of an axial tension to the tube piece. Another tube piece is coaxially joined to an upper end of the concrete filled tube piece. Thereafter, the above-mentioned steps from the beam-joining step to the tube piece-joining step are repeated a plurality of times.

    摘要: A prestressed composite structure (48) and method for making same. The ferroconcrete prestressed structure (48) includes a tensile member (10) which includes a steel I-beam (12) which has on its upper flange (16) a plurality of shear connectors (14). The beam (12) is bent or bowed by pushing on the center region of the beam (12) with a screw jack (28) or the like while forces are applied to the first and second ends (21) and (23), respectively, of the beam (12). The end forces can simply be due to the weight of the beam (12) or can be supplemented, in one embodiment, through the use of threaded rods (32) and (38) which interconnect the beam (12) and a dummy beam (26). The bowed beam (12) has a convex surface (42) on which a compressive layer (46) is attached. Preferably, a concrete layer (46) is utilized with the concrete bonding to an upper flange (16) of the beam (12) and the concrete layer (46) encasing or enveloping the shear connectors (14) to make the composite unit (48) act as a single structural device. Once the concrete layer (46) has sufficiently cured, the bending moment created by the screw jack (28) and rods (32) and (38) is removed and the resulting composite structure (48) is prestressed and is therefore better able to withstand dead and live loading.
