    摘要: A novel function-recoverable prefabricated seismic shear wall structure with replaceable components, which includes main structural components, connecting components and replaceable components. All components are connected by bolts or pins. The connections can provide sufficient strength to effectively connect adjacent upper and lower wall panels, or wall panel and coupling beam, together. The replaceable components are installed in the bottom region of the wall and coupling beams, which provide sufficient bearing capacity and stiffness for the building structure under service loads and dissipate seismic energy under the earthquake. The damage concentrates on the replaceable components which could be easily replaced after a strong earthquake so that the function of the building structure could be quickly restored. In addition, the replaceable components with different energy-dissipation mechanisms facilitate the shear wall structure to have multiple seismic fortification lines, and improve the seismic performance of the building structure.

    摘要: A self-aligning corner bead for fireproofing structural steel, having a strip of welded wire fabric cut to the appropriate width for the fireproofing thickness and bent longitudinally to form an obtuse V-shaped device is disclosed. A plastic nosing is installed along one edge. A method of finishing the corners for fireproofing of structural steel member using an improved corner bead includes the step of attaching the first wing of an obtuse V-shaped device through a lathe to the structural steel member utilizing pneumatic or screw type fasteners. The mesh structure of the second wing of the V-shaped device provides a dam to form a roughened surface on the first application of fireproofing material until it hardens.

    摘要: Exemplary embodiments include a structural system for replacing a standard beam. The standard beam has a weight per unit length, a depth in a load direction, a characteristic cross-sectional shape and a width in a cross direction substantially perpendicular to the load direction. The structural system includes a monolithic beam having the characteristic cross-sectional shape and the depth in the load direction. The monolithic beam may also have the weight per unit length. The monolithic beam includes first and second flanges connected by a transverse section. The first and second flanges extend in the cross direction and have first and second thicknesses, respectively, in the load direction. The flanges are not wider than the width in the cross direction. At least one of the flanges has the width in the cross direction. The thicknesses are different. The flanges and the transverse section are an integrated structure forming the monolithic beam.
