Abstract:
Apparatus and methods pertaining to a moveable well construction apparatus to be electrically energized via an electrical power transmission path extending between a stationary power source and the moveable well construction apparatus. The path comprises cables and connectors. A system comprises a detector operable for generating information indicative of whether the path is properly installed. The system permits the path to be electrically energized when the detector-generated information indicates the path is properly installed, and prevents the path from being electrically energized when the detector-generated information indicates the path is not properly installed.
Abstract:
In an interlock system, locking of a second locking mechanism is enabled only when a first key holding part holds a first key and a control device is in a state in which a residual voltage of the control device is not discharged. Application of a power supply voltage to the control device is enabled by switching of a ground switch only when a second key holding part holds a second key. Removal of the second key from the second key holding part is enabled only when the ground switch is in the grounded position and the control device is in a grounded state. Removal of the first key from the first key holding part is enabled only when the control device is in a state in which residual voltage is discharged.
Abstract:
In a first aspect, an electronic lock (12) suitable for replacing interchangeable core locks has a solenoid assembly comprising a solenoid coil (280) and a plunger (290) longitudinally aligned parallel to the rotational axis (A) of the cylinder (214) of the lock (12).
Abstract:
Latches are disclosed. One latch includes a housing, a cap, a bushing, and a ball. The housing is configured for engagement to the panel. The housing has a longitudinal axis and defines an aperture along the longitudinal axis. The aperture includes a cutout area. The cap and the bushing are mounted within the aperture for rotation about the longitudinal axis. The cap comprises an outer surface including a drive projection and a cutout area. The bushing comprises an upper surface and a sidewall positioned between the cap and the housing. The sidewall defines a drive surface positioned to contact the drive projection of the cap and an opening. The ball is positioned within the opening of the bushing. The ball is configured to be positioned at least partially within the cutout area of the housing or the cutout area of the cap.
Abstract:
A standard "diamond back" lock configuration, as used in drawer locks, includes a dead bolt with an angled slot. The angled slot provides an improved camming action which produces the same amount of linear dead bolt motion with 90.degree. of lock plug rotation as a conventional, non-angled slot with 180.degree. of rotation. In addition, since only 90.degree. of rotation is necessary to fully extend or retract the dead bolt, a user can ascertain whether the lock is engaged or not by the relative orientation of the keyway entry. Also, with 90.degree. of lock plug rotation, key retention at the unlocked position can be provided as an added feature of the lock.
Abstract:
The showcase is provided with a lock set that includes a key operated bolt which can be thrown only when the showcase door is closed. Accordingly, the key can be removed only when the case is locked. In counterpart, the authorized users are provided with keys secured on their persons, so no one can absent-mindedly or neglectfully walk off leaving the showcase unlocked.

Abstract:
A cam lock has a lock cylinder and a cam part connected to the lock cylinder. The cam part is turnable from a lock position to an open position when turning a key placed in the lock cylinder. The cam part comprises a spring and a flange that is arranged to receive external force towards the lock cylinder. The spring allows the movement of the cam part at the open position towards the lock cylinder as response to external force. The spring is further arranged to turn the cam part towards the lock position.
Abstract:
Certain embodiments described herein are directed to lock inserts that are configured to prevent removal of a key from a lock assembly comprising the lock insert when the lock assembly is in an unlocked position. The lock insert can be configured to permit removal of the key when the lock assembly is in a locked position.
