摘要： A door assembly for selectively interlocking opposing doors each pivotably mounted at a hinge side thereof to a door frame so as to both open and close in the same direction includes a door handle assembly mounted to one door at a latch side thereof opposite the hinge side and carrying a first plurality of magnets, and another door handle assembly mounted to the other door at a latch side thereof opposite the hinge side and carrying a second plurality of magnets. The door handle assemblies are arranged relative to each other with the first and second pluralities of magnets aligned such each aligned pair of the first and second pluralities of magnets have opposite magnetic polarities, and the aligned first and second pluralities of magnets magnetically couple to each other as the door handle assemblies are brought into contact with each other.

摘要： A storm trim for holding a panel over a window for protection against impact of objects carried by wind during a storm. The storm trim includes a lineal cap and a lineal base. The base may be used with a window frame, incorporated into a window frame or be used in glazing surrounds or shutters. The base carries a stacked screw boss to receive and securely hold the anchoring screws that are needed to hold the panel over the window. The anchoring screws do not extend through the lineal base but remain within it. When the storm trim is not in use, the cap covers the lineal base.

摘要： A door lock apparatus with safety switch capable of assuredly locking a door is provided.A coupling member is pivotally moved about a pivotal shaft by a closing operation by way of a rotary handle, thereby bringing an engaging portion thereof into engagement with a fixing member, so that a protective door is inhibited from moving in two directions of arrows X, Y including a moving direction of the protective door. Whether the protective door is of a slide type or a pivot type, the protective door is assuredly locked in a closed state because the protective door is inhibited from moving in the two directions including the moving direction thereof. Further, if an operation mistake or the like is made to forcibly open the protective door, the force for opening the protective door is not directly applied to the switch body or the actuator. Hence, a safety switch may achieve an increased in durability.

摘要： An Adjustable flood-resistant barrier for removable installation in a window or door opening or the like. A laterally adjustable frame is received within an elastic envelope and can be laterally expanded to engage the sides and bottom of the opening. An adjusting mechanism includes a shaft, which projects upward above the top of the frame, approximately in the center thereof, and mounts a handle for both carrying the panel and rotating the shaft to effect width adjustments of the panel. An improved peripheral seal minimizes the likelihood of leakage at the corners. For wide openings, mullions are provided to support central areas and to increase downward sealing pressures in the center of the panel. Mullions can also be positioned between an opposed pair of barrier panels for closing off unusually wide openings.

摘要： A mullion for a window frame is formed by two frame members back to back to form the mullion. The facing surfaces are connected by providing aligned first and second recesses therein where each of the recesses has a mouth at the which is narrower than a base and has a connecting member along the aligned recesses with a portion of the connecting member within each recess as a loose fit. Each connecting member has associated with it an insert member with an insert portion between the outer surfaces of the first and second frame members forcing the outer surfaces apart to tighten the connecting member and a cover portion covering a junction between the side surfaces.

摘要： A pet barrier that is placed in a motor vehicle to divide a portion of the interior of the vehicle from the remainder of the interior of the vehicle. The barrier can be removed when not used but can be quickly set up when needed. The barrier includes a telescoping support pole that has screens attached thereto. When the support pole is placed in the vehicle, such as by frictionally engaging the ends of the pole against the interior sides of the vehicle, the screens will divide the compartment so a pet can be confined behind the screens.

摘要： A window guard is provided for a window which may be removably mounted in a window frame to protect the window from storms. The window includes a window frame having frame members, two of which have holes formed on inwardly facing surfaces. The window guard includes a board sized to fit within the window frame and a brace or mounting mechanism pivotally mounted on the board which cooperates with the window frame holes to mount the window guard in the frame. The mounting mechanism includes a cross-member pivotally secured to the board and rods telescopingly received in the cross-member. The cross-member is made of two elongate pieces which are pivotally connected and which have blind bores formed in their ends which telescopingly receive the rods. The rods can thus telescope to a position in which they extend from the cross-member into the holes formed in the window frame and be retracted to a position in which they do not extend beyond the edges of the board. A screw is provided for each rod to be screwed against the rod to secure the rod in a desired position in the cross-member. Guide brackets are positioned near the edges of the board to provide a guide through which the rods extend.
