    摘要: A lockable sliding door is described. A ratcheted track allows the movable panel of the door to be selectively locked in both closed and vented positions. A lever is positioned along a midpoint of the movable panel to allow for the easy engagement of the locking mechanism. Further, the locking mechanism is carried on the movable panel. The technology is configured to allow the sliding door to be locked in various configurations, with the door partially opened, completely open, or completely closed. The technology may also be utilized on windows or any other architectural features with a slide-to-open and close design.

    摘要: A mechanism is provided for balancing and positioning a sash of a self-balancing double-hung window assembly. The mechanism may include a fixed length cable, a pulley, first and second brackets and an adjustment member. The fixed length cable may include first and second ends. The pulley may support the cable. The first bracket may include one or more attachment points relative to the first end of the cable and may include an upper end and a lower end. The second bracket may be movable relative to the first bracket and may be configured to support the sash. The adjustment member may engage and extend through the lower end of the first bracket and may be movable relative to the first bracket to cause corresponding movement of the second bracket relative to the first end of the cable.

    摘要: A sliding door locking apparatus in which ratchet shaped catches project vertically from a housing and are depressible to a lowered position. The housing is horizontally mounted to the base of the door frame. One of the catches prevents the opening of the door by making contact with a blocking member that is attached to the slidable door panel. However, the door can be quickly closed because contact between the blocking member and the catch in the opposite direction depresses the catch, owing to its ratchet shape. When the catch is depressed to a lower position, the door can move freely in either direction. An alarm is provided which is responsive to an attempt to open the door when the catch is not depressed to a lowered position.

    摘要: A stop assembly for a sliding closure includes a wedge-shape stop member which may be removably secured to the closure in a position where the stop member will become wedged between the relatively sliding members to preclude opening more than a predetermined distance. Cooperating pad-like elements having respectively numerous hooks and loops thereon are affixed to the closure and stop member, respectively, and when in mating engagement resist separation in a direction parallel to the direction of movement of the sliding member to preclude opening of the closure and are readily separable in a direction normal to such direction of movement to remove the stop member to permit unobstructed opening of the closure. When not in use, the stop member may be independently secured in a convenient storage location where it will not interfere with such closure movement by another pad-like element cooperating with the element affixed to the stop member.
