摘要： Disclosed herein is an adjustable shoring beam having a hook assembly configured to mate with E-track mating features. The adjustable shoring beam can be adjusted over a predetermined length range by adjusting the tube assembly and the rod assembly. In some embodiments, the extension length is fixed using a fixing clamp coupled to the tube assembly and the rod assembly. A connecting clamp and bracket may be used to couple a first adjustable shoring beam to a second adjustable shoring beam.

The device includes a body section having a vertical hole therein, and a ring-type locking unit and a piston serially arranged along the hole, wherein the rod member is disposed in the hole to be axially movable through the locking unit and the piston. The locking unit may be a lock block including an outer ring having an inclined surface on one side thereof, thereby defining a wedge-type space, an inner ring coaxially disposed in one side of the outer ring and accommodating a pressurizing member interacting with the inclined surface, and a spring disposed in the other side of the outer ring so as to elastically connect the outer ring and the inner ring.

摘要： A safety guard or gate for placement in a frame of an opening to prevent a child or pet from passing though the opening. The present invention includes an adjustable means for adjusting the guard to fit the width of the frame, wherein the adjustable means has a first end and a second end to form an axis along which the means can be adjusted. The invention further includes an attachment means for securing the guard to the frame; and a securing means for securing the adjustable means to the attachment means. The securing means prevents the adjustable means from disengaging from the attachment means along the axis when in a locked position, and allows disengagement and reengagement of the adjustable means in direction that transects the axis when the securing means is in an unlocked position. The present invention further includes methods for using the safety guard, and systems that include elements of the safety guard.

摘要： An extension tool is disclosed comprising a first pole and a second pole. The second pole is partially disposed in the first pole for defining a variable overall tool length. A slide controller includes a lower clamp and an upper clamp. The first pole is disposed in the lower clamp. A first clamp compressor applies a compressive force to the lower clamp for defining a lower clamp lock and coupes the slide controller with the first pole. A second clamp compressor applies a compressive force to the upper clamp for defining an upper clamp lock and prevents slidable displacement of the second pole relative to the first pole. The second clamp compressor applies a non-compressive force to the upper clamp for defining an upper slide guide. The upper slide guide facilitates the slidable displacement of the second pole relative to the first pole.

摘要： An anti-tamper device in the form of a collar fitted about a housing is provided. The ends of the collar are formed into lock tabs, one of which is formed into a U-shaped portion, or V-shaped portion, to permit capture of the end of the other lock tab. Movement of the captured tab is prevented to resist tampering with the housing. Embodiment of the invention find application, in particular, to a housing for a bell at a railroad level crossing, and prevents loss of the bell due to vandalism.
