    摘要: A mineral mining machine suitable for working shortwall faces is provided with a pivotted cutter member including a guideway for a cutter chain carrying picks and paddle devices for scooping debris. The guideway is divided at or about its mid point into two parts which are interconnected by guide means and actuating rams. The guide means are in the form of bars slidably engaged by runners attached to the guideway. Operation of the actuating means can effect tensioning of the cutter chain. The base of the machine has two interchangeable sections facilitating a change of hand when this is desired, the disposition of the chain tensioning arrangement in the middle of the guideway being of advantage in this connection.

    摘要: A long-wall mining apparatus has a conveyor trough extending longitudinally from a turnaround adjacent a longitudinal face from which material is to be cut, a pair of longitudinally extending and generally parallel rear guide rails extending along and flanking the conveyor, a pair of longitudinally extending and generally parallel front guide rails extending along the face between the conveyor trough and the face, and a longitudinally fixed anchor bollard in the turnaround provided with upper and lower guide rails each connecting a respective one of the front guide rails to a respective one of the rear guide rails. A drive wheel in the bollard rotates about an upright axis and has an outer periphery exposed between the bollard guide rails. A chain having front and rear stretches respectively running along the guide rails is engaged in the turnaround with the periphery of the drive wheel. Conveyor/cutting elements on the chain ride on the rails to move in the front stretch along the face and in the rear stretch along the trough. A drive motor at the turnaround connected to the drive wheel advances the chain in the front stretch to scrape material from the face and deposit it in the conveyor trough and displaces the chain toward the turnaround in the rear stretch to move the scraped-off material along the trough.

    摘要: In one embodiment, an excavation method is provided that includes the steps of: (a) contacting a rotating powered cutting head 440 of an excavator 400 with an excavation face 452, wherein, at any one time, a first set of the cutting elements is in contact with the excavation face and a second set of the cutting elements is not in contact with the excavation face, the cutting head excavating the excavation face in at least a first direction; and (b) during the contacting step, using an elongated support member 404 extending from the excavator 400 to a powered device 118 to apply a force to the excavator 400 in at least the first direction to provide at least a portion of the cutting force. The powered device 118 is located at a distance from the excavator 400.

    摘要: The apparatus for removing stratified outcropped minerals and for transporting these minerals parallel to the mining face or breast comprises a digging portion and a conveyor portion as well as a chain conveyor guided positively in them with digging tools and carrier members. The digging portion and the conveyor portion are assembled together from a plurality of pan-like members. Each pan of the conveyor portion comprises a conveying trough made from two guide pieces which are mirror images of each other attached to a base plate and from two identical bent plates. The guide pieces engage in members in the bent plates and are clamped with them by clamping plates on the top side of the bent plates. The digging portion has a guide piece indentical with the guide piece of the conveyor portion. A basin-like plate of the digging portion is pivotably mounted by a welded substantially circular cross section strip on the breast wall side of the conveyor portion. Coupling members for the adjacent pan-like members of the conveyor portion are located under the bent plates.

Control members in the form of leaf springs are disposed between the other side of the conveyor and a roof support assembly.
