    摘要: A fuel injection system has a feed pump by which fuel is supplied to a high-pressure pump which pumps fuel into a reservoir as a function of engine operating parameters. The system has a fuel metering device for adjusting the fuel quantity pumped by the high-pressure pump, the metering device having an actuator controlling a regulating valve having a slide-shaped valve member guided in a cylindrical bore of a valve housing and displaceable by the actuator counter to a restoring force. An outer jacket of the valve member in cooperation with an outlet from the cylindrical bore controls a flow cross section from the feed pump to the high-pressure pump. The valve member controlls an inlet opening, originating at the feed pump and discharging into the cylindrical bore, and in one position closes the inlet opening completely.

    摘要: A fuel delivery rail assembly for supplying fuel to a plurality of fuel injectors in an engine is provided. The assembly comprises an elongate conduit having a longitudinal fuel passage therein, a fuel inlet pipe, and a plurality of sockets. One wall of the conduit opposite to the socket mounting wall includes a flat or arcuate flexible absorbing surface. High-frequency noise suppressing means such as a binding member is fixed within the conduit for connecting said one wall and the socket mounting wall. The binding member is comprised of a pipe, a bar or a rigid block. The binding member may be comprised of a body portion of an extending socket terminating with said one wall. Thus, fuel pressure pulsations and shock waves are reduced by bending of the absorbing surface, and emission of high-frequency noise is eliminated.

    摘要: There is provided a common rail for a diesel engine in which fatigue strength against inner pressure is increased by reducing the difference in hardness or elongation between a steel surface and a nonmetal inclusion on the inner surface of, or in the surface layer of, a rail and lowering the degree of concentration of fatigue stress. The common rail includes a main pipe rail having a circulating passage extending in its inside in the axial direction thereof, branch holes formed in an axial peripheral wall portion of the main pipe rail, and branch connectors connected to the respective branch holes integrally or via separate connecting members, and a Ni-diffused fatigue strength reinforcing layer which is formed by heating a Ni layer plated in advance is formed on at least a portion of an inner circumferential surface of the common rail. The increased strength and the action of the fatigue strength reinforcing layer lowers the degree of fatigue concentration to increase fatigue strength against inner pressure. A source of pressurized fluid and an injector valve head are provided with connection means to enable an injector valve to be connected thereto, the head being connected to the said source so that pressurized fluid from the said source is delivered to the injector valve when the equipment is in use. Flow monitoring means are arranged in the fluid path between the said source and the head to monitor the flow of fluid to the head. The source of pressurized fluid is such as to maintain a level of pressure in excess of a desired operating pressure. The regulator means comprises fluid flow control means coupled to a pressure sensor, which is in or near the test head to provide an indication of the pressure therein so that the flow control means effects an increase or a decrease to flow of fluid through the said fluid path to maintain the pressure of the fluid at the head substantially at the desired operating pressure.

    摘要: A fuel pressure control apparatus and method controls a pressure of fuel that is delivered from a fuel pump to a fuel pipe in an internal combustion engine of a vehicle. A controller of the fuel pressure control apparatus calculates a controlled variable based on at least an integral term that is updated in accordance with a difference between an actual fuel pressure in the fuel pipe and a target value thereof; and controls an amount of the fuel delivered from the fuel pump in a feedback manner, using the controlled variable, so that the actual fuel pressure approaches the target value. During the control of the fuel pressure, the controller inhibits updating of the integral term to a value that results in an increase in the amount of the fuel delivered from the fuel pump, when the amount of the fuel delivered is approximate to or equal to a maximum value thereof.
