Abstract: A gas compressor comprising a rotating drum and a return assembly. The drum includes a compression channel assembly with compression channels between a common zone and a distal area. The compression channels may be formed by a plurality of V-shaped blocks. The return assembly draws liquid from an annular lake formed in the drum to a fluid outlet. A gas inlet in the return assembly mixes incoming gas with the liquid. An optional eductor connected to the gas inlet draws gas into the gas inlet. Fluid entering the common pressure zone is forced into the compression channels that compress the gas. Pressurized gas is separated from liquid in the fluid prior to leaving the compression channel. An inducer may be positioned between the fluid outlet of the return assembly and the opening of the centralized common pressure zone.

Abstract: A rotary device (e.g., a rotary jet), power generation system, and methods of manufacturing and using the same are disclosed. The rotary jet includes a central axle or shaft, an inlet configured to receive at least one fluid, and a plurality of radial arms in fluid communication with the inlet, configured to rotate around the central axle or shaft. Each radial arm has a nozzle at a distal end thereof and an arc between the inlet and the nozzle. The radial arms extend radially from the central axle or shaft at least in part, and are configured to rotate when the fluid enters the inlet and passes through the radial arms, or when a rotational force is applied to the central axle or shaft. Each nozzle may have an opening facing away from a direction of rotation of the radial arms or facing in a direction parallel with the central axle or shaft.

Abstract: An impulse turbine, particularly of the reversible type, comprises at least a runner fast on a shaft in order to be rotatable about an axis of rotation. Each runner is provided with at least a hollow working member adapted to receive a fluid fed according to a direction substantially transverse with respect to said axis of rotation, from an inlet portion to a discharge portion of the hollow working member, so that thrust forces are generated whose resultant tends to drive the runner into rotation as a result of the passage of the fluid in the hollow working member. The distance between the straight line of action of the resultant of the thrust forces on each hollow working member and the axis of rotation of the runner is smaller than the distance between the inlet portion of each hollow working member and the axis of rotation of the runner.

Abstract: A power generating apparatus is provided which has a simple configuration with excellent maintainability and power generation efficiency. A power generating apparatus 100 includes an inlet pipe 101, a rotational coupling unit 102, a generator 110, and a rotating blade 120. The inlet pipe 101 is connected to a supply source of a liquid WK and guides the liquid WK to the rotational coupling unit 102. The rotational coupling unit 102 rotatably couples an input shaft 112 of the generator 110 to the inlet pipe 101. The input shaft 112 configures a rotor in the generator 110 and is formed into a pipe that conveys the liquid WK to a base pipe 121 of the rotating blade 120 to function as piping. The generator 110 generates electric power on the basis of rotary motion of the input shaft 112. The rotating blade 120 includes two arm pipes 123 on an outer side in a radial direction of the base pipe 121 formed into a pipe, and is rotationally driven by jetting the liquid WK along a circumferential direction of the base pipe 121 through a discharge tube 124 provided at a distal end portion of each of the arm pipes 123.

Abstract: An generator/motor that initially uses external power to spin a partially submerged low drag fluid distributor rotor that uses centrifugal force to cause fluid to flow from the center of rotation, through a plurality of Euler curved penstocks, allowing the fluid to flow in a true radial direction through a high “g” artificial gravity field, which dramatically increases the fluid's kinetic energy and released available power (Pa), before it is guided out tangentially from the distributor via a plurality of nozzles symmetrically located at a small height just above the reservoir surface (near zero lift). As the frequency of the rotor is increased linearly the fuel artificial gravity increases exponentially, as does the fluid dynamic available power (Pa). Turbine runners on the rotor assembly capture the available power (Pa), and a positive feedback mechanical transmission couples the captured rotational power to the I/O shaft in its initialized direction thus replacing the external power with internal fluid dynamic derived mechanical power to sustain rotator rotation and drive the shaft of an electric generator.
