摘要: An energy production device for a chargeable energy storage is arranged on a fluid conduit of an existing fluid circuit in a device through which a fluid flows. The fluid flow in the fluid conduit primarily serves a predetermined purpose different from that of the energy production device. The energy production device is arranged to produce energy from the kinetic energy of the fluid flow to charge the chargeable energy storage. A module insertable into the device may include the energy production device. The device may be a washer disinfector for processing medical instruments, systems and/or products that include at least one handpiece having a chargeable energy storage. The energy storage is configured as a rechargeable battery or as a power cell and is adapted to be processed together with the handpiece in the washer disinfector.

摘要: The present application pertains to systems and methods for desalination. In one embodiment the system employs a first storage reservoir configured to be near the surface of a body of water and configured to store a low density fluid. A second storage reservoir is configured to be located below the surface of the body of water. A desalination system is operably connected to the second reservoir. Desalinated water is produced by allowing desalination permeate to displace low density fluid in the second reservoir and transfer the low density fluid from the second reservoir to the first reservoir. Desalinated water is exported by transferring low density fluid from the first reservoir into the second reservoir to displace desalinated water from the second reservoir into a water export pipeline.

摘要: A system for processing a fluid by generating water vapor through forced compression and rotation in a vessel includes capturing sea water for use in desalination processing in the vessel. Any fluid processed in the vessel, including sea water, can be used to create water vapor that rises to an elevation under its own power. After condensing the water vapor to liquid again, the condensed liquid falls upon a hydro-electric generator to generate electricity that is stored for later use. Brine output from the system can be recycled for re-processing through the system to increase water vapor yield. The wet brine output may also be dried to produce dried brine for subsequent processing of salt and other minerals.

摘要: A device is provided having a fermentation chamber having one or more inlets to receive a mixed stream to be fermented and an outlet to release fermented product; a distillation vessel surrounding the fermentation chamber having communication with the fermentation chamber outlet to receive fermented product to be distilled and a turbine located within the outlet of the fermentation chamber, the turbine having a rotor rotatable by force of flow of fermented product from the fermentation chamber to the distillation vessel, to generate electricity. A sidewall common to both the fermentation chamber and distillation vessel allows for heat transfer of heat generated from fermentation to the distillation vessel to heat the product to be distilled. A method of fermenting and distilling a product is also provided. The method involves receiving in a fermentation chamber a mixed stream to be fermented; transferring heat energy generated by fermentation to a distillation vessel surrounding the fermentation chamber; allowing pressurized fermented product to flow from the fermentation chamber into the distillation vessel via a turbine and rotating a rotor of the turbine by a force of flow of the fermented product to the distiller to generate electricity.

摘要: A vehicle incorporates a gravity-assist energy harvesting suspension system including one or more gravitational positive displacement pumps. The positive displacement pump has a cylinder and a reciprocating piston inside the cylinder. The piston is adapted for movement along a compression stroke and an opposite extension stroke in response to a gravitational bounce of the vehicle when in motion. A turbine comprising a rotor shaft and attached blades is mounted relative to a distal end of a fluid outlet hose connected to the pump. Fluid discharged through the outlet hose acts on the blades, thereby moving and imparting rotational energy to the rotor shaft. A generator is operatively connected to the turbine, and is adapted for converting the rotational energy generated by the rotor shaft to electrical energy.

摘要: A steam-assisted gravity drive system is provided. The steam-assisted gravity drive system has a series of repeating steam chambers separated by inner baffles, wherein the series of repeating steam chambers define a circular loop about a hub. The steam-assisted gravity drive system with the addition of a heat source is adapted to unidirectionally change steam from one steam chamber to spraying condensation flowing into an adjacent steam chamber. Thereby, the steam-assisted gravity drive system generates force through this unidirectional transfer of the fluid throughout the loop of steam chambers so that the loop rotates about its hub under the further influence of gravity, wherein the hub can be attached to a mechanism for applying rotation force thereto.
