    摘要: An air handler enclosure having a pivotal door panel covers an access opening leading to a blower inside the enclosure. The door panel is held in engagement with the enclosure when the panel is fully open or closed. The panel can completely disengage the enclosure if the panel is first pivoted to an intermediate position between the fully open and fully closed positions. However, the weight of the panel itself urges the panel to remain engaged with the enclosure as the panel pivots through the intermediate position, which helps prevent the panel from disengaging the enclosure unintentionally.

The housing comprises a volute, a central axis, and an inlet port located along the central axis. An outlet port is located on a second axis spaced from the central axis. An exhaust passage extends from the outlet port. An impeller is mounted on the shaft for rotation. The impeller comprises a hub, and at least one blade extending from the hub. The blade has a distal surface spaced from the shaft. The impeller housing has a first plane which is approximately perpendicular to the central axis. The first plane contacts the blade distal surface. A second plane is parallel to and spaced apart from the first plane. The second plane contacts a wall of the outlet port at a location closest to the first plane. The exhaust passage can increase in diameter along its length. The outlet port can be of a circular cross-section. A spacing wall is positioned between the volute and the wall of the outlet port and spaces each blade from the outlet port, thus reducing noise and increasing airflow.

    摘要: An MWE compressor comprising a housing defining an inlet and an outlet, and an impeller wheel rotatably mounted in the housing such that on rotation of the wheel gas within the inlet is moved to the outlet. The housing has an inner wall defining a surface located in close proximity to radially outer edges of vanes supported by the wheel. The inlet is defined by a first tubular portion an inner surface of which is an extension of the said surface of the inner wall of the housing, a second tubular portion located radially outside the first portion to define an annular passage between the first and second portions, a wall extending across the annular passage between the first and second portions, and a conical wall located upstream of the first portion and extending in the radially outwards and upstream directions from adjacent the upstream end of the first portion to the upstream end of the second portion. At least one aperture is defined between the downstream end of the conical wall and the upstream end of the first tubular portion to communicate with the annular passage. At least one aperture is defined adjacent the wheel in the surface of the inner wall of the housing to communicate with the annular passage. The apertures are located on opposite sides of the wall extending across the annular passage, and at least one further aperture is provided in that wall.
