Abstract:
A gas compressor comprising a substantially hollow cylindrical drum secured to a fixed shaft and configured to rotate a volume of fluid about a central axis. A plurality of eductors may be affixed to the shaft through support rods and positioned within an interior of the drum to receive a flow of fluid during rotation of the drum. A gas inlet along the fixed shaft comprises a channel through which gas external to the drum may be drawn into the eductors and compressed. Compressed gas accumulates within a central area of the drum and may be harvested through a gas outlet along the fixed shaft. Additional embodiments may comprise pitot tubes to manage a fluid level within the drum, and a cooling system to manage fluid temperature.
Abstract:
A sump pump tracking system includes a pressure sensor including a first port and a second port, a tube extending from the first port, a processor in communication with the pressure sensor, and a remote server in communication with the pressure sensor. The processor is configured to receive an air pressure reading from the first port calculate a water level within the sump pit based on the air pressure reading from the first port. The server is configured to be programmed with an alarm threshold limit. The pressure sensor communicates the water level to the server, and the server is configured to compare the water level with the alarm threshold limit and send an alert if the water level is above the alarm threshold limit.
Abstract:
Agricultural implements are used to transport material, such as inputs in the form of fertilizer, seed, treatment, or some combination thereof, to row units that apply the material to an area of a field. Metering systems can aid in metering and providing a desired amount of material, such as on-demand, to the row units. The metering systems move the metered material to the row units, such as with pneumatics or other fluids. The metering system can be improved by having primary and secondary nozzles of different sizes, which aid in increasing the speed of the fluid moving the material towards the row units. For example, a smaller diameter for the secondary nozzle will provide improved suction and air speed.

A magnetic fluid drive unit 100 having a double tube 10 comprising an inner tube 11 and an outer tube 12 formed on the outer side of the inner tube 11, and a magnetic field applicator 30 installed on the outer side of the double tube 10, the inner tube 11 having, in the region where a magnetic field is applied by the magnetic field applicator 30, a high heat conducting region 21 and a low heat conducting region 22 aligned in the lengthwise direction of the inner tube 11, the inside of the inner tube 11 being a heating medium flow path, and the area between the inner tube 11 and the outer tube 12 being a magnetic fluid flow path.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns a pump for high-density powder transfer. The pump for high-density powder transportation according to the present invention has four-stroke operation, in which four pumping chambers in reality constitute a system of two pairs of chambers in line with each other. This makes it possible to divide the overall flow rate per minute over four tanks. Each of the four tanks has a reduced capacity, to the benefit of the compactness of the pump and the reduction of the loading/emptying times of the single tank, by exploiting the fluid-dynamic principle of communicating vessels the system of pairs of chambers in line increases the overall powder storage volume, thanks to a constant depression.
Abstract:
The present invention is constructed for use with oil field pumps. The disclosed fluid pump is an apparatus that can replace conventional mechanical jack pumps, which are often problematic and inefficient during use. The present invention is a down hole fluid pump, which carries fluid upward by means of, a two phase flow of a compressed gas, and fluid. The fluid may be an admixture of petroleum oil and water. The compressed gas is generally air, but other gases may be applied. The inventive pump comprises multiple air lines, which allow serial connectivity with multiple oil wells. Multiple donut shaped magnets comprise the inventive fluid pump assembly, which facilitate effective and efficient fluid pump operation.

Abstract:
A liquid delivery system for a substrate processing system includes a liquid ampoule to store liquid precursor. A pressure adjusting system adjusts pressure in the liquid ampoule. A pressure sensor senses a pressure in the liquid ampoule. A capillary injector includes a capillary tube in fluid communication with an output of the liquid ampoule. A temperature control device controls a temperature of the capillary tube. A first valve has an input connected to the capillary tube. A controller is configured to determine a predetermined pressure in the liquid ampoule corresponding a desired flow rate and a predetermined temperature of the capillary tube, maintain the temperature of the capillary tube at the predetermined temperature, communicate with the pressure sensor and the pressure adjusting system, and control the pressure in the liquid ampoule to the predetermined pressure to provide the desired flow rate.
Abstract:
A pump for pumping molten metal includes a refractory base that can be submerged in a bath of molten metal. A refractory shaft sleeve has upper and lower end portions. The base includes an impeller chamber and includes at least one inlet opening and outlet opening. The pump includes a motor. A refractory shaft extends in the shaft sleeve and is connected to a motor. A refractory impeller is connected to the shaft and is rotatable in the impeller chamber. A gas source flows inert gas into the shaft sleeve under pressure. In one aspect the shaft sleeve can be spaced from the base so as to leave a gap between the shaft sleeve and the base. A regulator regulates at least one of flow rate and pressure of the gas so as to avoid cavitation of the pump while the gas is released from the shaft sleeve. Also featured is a method of operating the pump so as to reduce dross formation in the molten metal.
