    摘要: Disclosed is a method for producing a forged crankshaft. This production method includes: a pressing step of pressing a part in a longitudinal direction (first region) of a bar-like member with a pair of first dies, thereby decreasing a cross sectional area of the first region; and a decentering step of decentering a second region of the bar-like member with a second die with the first region being held. The second region is at least a part of the region of the bar-like member excepting the first region. The decentering direction by the second die is a direction perpendicular to each of the pressing direction by the first dies and the longitudinal direction of the bar-like member.

A crankshaft includes a journal and a pin, each of the journal and pin having such a surface geometry that the arithmetical mean height of the primary profile, Pa, is 0.090 μm or smaller and the reduced peak height Rpk is 0.070 μm or smaller. As used herein, arithmetical mean height of a primary profile Pa is defined in JIS B 0601 (2001), and reduced peak height Rpk is defined in JIS B 0671 (2002).

    摘要: A crankshaft includes journals that define a central axis of rotation; crank pins that are eccentric with respect to the journals; crank arms connecting the journals to the crank pins; and counterweights integrated with the crank arms. Each of the crank arms has recesses in a surface adjacent to the crank pin. The recesses are disposed inward of peripheral regions in both sides along an edge of the surface, and are disposed along the peripheral regions. The crankshaft has a reduced weight, an increased torsional rigidity and an increased flexural rigidity.

    摘要: A crankshaft for an internal combustion engine includes a shaft body having a body rotation axis, with at least one crank pin for coupling a connecting rod to the crankshaft. The crank pin is connected to the shaft body in an offset manner with respect to the body rotation axis by two crank arms. Each arm has an arm surface facing one to the other with the crank pin extending between the arm surfaces. At least one of the arm surfaces is provided with a protrusion extending from the arm surface and configured to avoid contact between the arm surface and the connecting rod.

    摘要: A load due to combustion pressure is applied to each of the crank pins via a connecting rod in a direction from the axis of a piston pin to the axis of the crank pin. Each of the crank arms includes a recess in a surface adjacent to the journal, in a region inward of a peripheral region along the edge of the surface. The recess extends along the peripheral region, and is asymmetric with respect to a crank arm centerline connecting the axis of each of the crank pins to the axis of each of the journals. Each of the crank arms has a maximum flexural rigidity at a point of time when the load onto each of the crank pins due to the combustion pressure reaches a maximum. The crankshaft has a reduced weight and an increased torsional rigidity in combination with an increased flexural rigidity.
