    摘要: A four port reversing valve for a reversible-cycle refrigeration system having a compressor is constructed with the reversing valve having a first inlet port adapted to be connected to the compressor and second, third, and fourth ports. The four port reversing valve is further provided with a rotatable valve member operable between first and second positions. The valve member in its first position connects the first inlet port with the second port and the third port with the fourth port, and the valve member in its second position connects the first inlet port with the fourth port, and the second port with the third ports. The second and third ports and the third and fourth ports are arranged so that the angle between the ports is greater than about 90°. The third port is preferably oriented at an angle of about 120° with respect to the second and fourth ports, but the third port may also be oriented at an angle of about 135° with respect to the second and fourth ports. The four port reversing valve further comprises a rotating drive mechanism with the valve member magnetically coupled to the rotating drive mechanism. Alternatively, a linked rotary solenoid or hermetic motor can be connected to the valve member.

    摘要: An automatic water supply shutoff valve for use with a fire protection piping system has a body defining a cavity communicating among a supply inlet connected to a water supply, an ancillary outlet connected to ancillary piping, and a fire protection outlet connected to fire protection piping; and a piston within the cavity defining a piston passageway. The piston moves between a first position connecting the supply inlet and ancillary outlet and a second position connecting the supply inlet and fire protection outlet. The piston moves in response to biasing forces acting against the piston, including a first biasing force from the supply inlet, a second biasing force from the fire protection outlet, and a third biasing force. The first biasing force, urging the piston toward its second or fire protection position, is opposed by a combination of the second and third biasing forces, together urging the piston toward its first or ancillary position. The piston has an inlet communicating between the supply inlet and piston passageway, and a plurality of radial piston outlets, which, in first position, communicate between the piston passageway and ancillary outlet, and which, in second position, communicate between the piston passageway and fire protection outlet.

    摘要: A device for purging contaminated oil from a lubrication conduit is provided. The device may be used wherever a contaminated fluid or gas is purged from a conduit circuit. The preferred embodiment includes a housing which may be finned to allow the radiating of heat from engine oil to the environment. The housing includes an inlet and a primary and secondary outlet adapted for serial installation in a conduit. The housing is further provided with primary bore and a secondary bore therethrough so as to allow communication between the inlet and the primary and secondary outlets. The primary bore includes a check valve seat with in the housing. The secondary outlet is fitted with a diverter valve seat and a diverter valve to allow a user to selectively open and close the diverter valve. The check valve allows normal oil flow during engine operation when the diverter valve is shut off but closes when a negative pressure exists at the primary outlet with respect to the secondary outlet.

    摘要: A modular fluid handling assembly includes a plurality of fluid handling units. Each fluid handling unit includes a fluid passage and associated port, a vacuum passage and associated port, a vacuum pressure source, and a containment seal. The fluid passage ports and vacuum passage ports of adjacent fluid handling units respectively communicate. The containment seal is disposed between adjacent fluid handling units and surrounds the communicating fluid passage ports and vacuum passage ports. The vacuum pressure source is in continuous communication with the vacuum passages of the fluid handling units, generates an urging force which aids in sealing adjacent fluid handling units together, and draws off any fluid that may leak from a fluid passage port. A sensor can be tapped into the vacuum line to sense whether any fluid has leaked from a fluid passage port.

    摘要: The present invention provides a ball cock for a railway vehicle which comprises a main body possessing a primary-side opening and a secondary-side opening which face one another and an air exhaust aperture which is formed between these openings. Such ball cock further includes a ball-shaped valve body which is rotatably provided inside such main body and in which there is formed a communication aperture which connects the primary side opening and the secondary-side opening and a side aperture which, consequent to its rotation, connects the air exhaust aperture and either the primary-side or secondary-side opening. There is formed in the main body's air exhaust aperture a pipe connection to which is be connected a restrictor. In another embodiment a extension pipe is connected to such pipe connection in such air exhaust aperture. Such pipe extension forms a bend portion which causes its opening surface to be positioned lower than a generally horizontal direction when, in accordance with the state in which the main body is fitted to a railway vehicle, its air exhaust aperture is positioned upwardly from such horizontal direction.

    摘要: A switch-over device which is useful for a gas insufflation device using liquid gas includes at least two inflow channels each blockable by a valve and at least one outflow channel for alternate removal of a fluid medium from a plurality of containers. The device has a switch-over piston movably mounted in a housing and comprising a base member which has at each end a valve closure member in a form of a body of rotation. The switch-over piston is driven by a pressure difference between the fluid media and connects one of the inflow channels to the outflow channel in each of two switching positions. A working chamber accommodates the switch-over piston, with sealing elements being provided for closing off the inflow channels in a pressure tight manner when the switch-over piston is in the correspondingly closed position and for dividing the working chamber into two portions sealed off from each other. The switch-over piston and/or the working chamber is constructed so that at least one sealing element can be arranged selectively in different positions. The size of the areas of the switch-over piston which are acted upon by the fluid media and determined the switch-over point is determined by the position of the sealing element.

    摘要: A rapid inflation and venting air valve of an airbed comprises at least one air inlet, a lower opening, cover openings, and, joint tubes; and a blower having a wind suction opening and a wind transfer tube. When the wind transfer tube is communicated with the air inlet and the joint tubes, air can be inflated into airbags. When the wind suction opening is communicated with the lower opening and the joint tubes, air can be vented out. Thereby, by only operating the rotary element, the functions of inflation and venting can be performed rapidly. As a result the object of emergency rescue is achieved. The air valve integrates the functions of inflation and venting in one unit by only one blower so as to simplify the structure and lower the cost.
