    Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a pilot-operated oscillating valve that uses a battery. The valve is configured such that when a diaphragm is in a closed position, pressure of a fluid supply opens the valve, and when the diaphragm is in an open position, the pressure of the fluid closes the valve. An actuator causes the diaphragm to be arrested selectively in the open position or the closed position. The state of the actuator is switchable with a small expenditure of energy, enabling an extended duty cycle for a battery or other power source associated with the actuator. In some implementations, energy from the oscillating movement of the diaphragm may be captured to recharge the battery for the actuator.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a valve opened or closed using permanent magnets, and more specifically, to permanent magnets which face each other or are separated from each other to generate or remove a strong repulsive force or an attractive force so as to open or close a valve using low power, wherein a flow of a fluid is quickly allowed or blocked by an interaction of magnetic forces of permanent magnets, even when a flow or block state is continuously maintained, additional power is not required, and a valve is driven using low power. Accordingly, there are effects that economy of reducing energy and utility in use are provided, a small servo motor or the like is applied as a driving device to miniaturize an exterior of the valve, and thus usefulness and expansion of use of the valve are provided.

    Abstract: A valve arrangement having a main valve and having a pilot valve which is provided for controlling the main valve and which is inserted into a pilot valve receptacle in an insertion direction, wherein, through closure of the pilot valve, a pressure is able to be built up within a pressure chamber which is closed off by a diaphragm, whereby a valve seat between a main valve inlet and a main valve outlet is able to be closed off. By opening the pilot valve, it is possible to set a release of pressure within the pressure chamber by water flowing away via an inflow, connected to the pressure chamber, of the pilot valve receptacle and via a pilot valve inlet, adjoining the latter and formed by a main body of the pilot valve. A pilot valve outlet, formed by the main body, and via an outflow, adjoining said pilot valve outlet, into the main valve outlet, opens into the main valve outlet on the outflow side of the diaphragm. The pilot valve inlet and the pilot valve outlet are arranged offset from one another along a longitudinal axis of the pilot valve.

    Abstract: A flow control device includes a housing with an inlet and an outlet and a flow conduit disposed in the housing. The inlet, the flow conduit, and the outlet define a flow passage. A valve seat is disposed in the housing downstream of the inlet, and a shuttle is movably disposed in the housing and displaceable between a closed position engaging the valve seat to close the flow passage and an open position spaced from the valve seat to open the flow passage. A sealed chamber is defined between the housing and the flow conduit. A port coupled with a source of pressurized fluid communicates with the sealed chamber, where the shuttle is displaceable between the closed position and the open position based on a pressure in the sealed chamber. The threshold water pressure for displacing the flow conduit may be adjustable by modifying the pressure in the sealed chamber.

    Abstract: A rotatable pressure relief valve assembly is provided. The assembly may comprise a butterfly valve, a spring actuator, and a diaphragm device having a flexible membrane. A linkage assembly may be provided with a first end and a second end, wherein the first end may be configured to engage with a terminal end of a piston of a spring actuator, and wherein the second end may be configured to engage with a latch arm of the diaphragm device. A pilot tube may be configured to transmit an inlet fluid pressure from the inlet side of the butterfly valve to the sealed chamber. The assembly may further comprise a buckling pin mechanism having a buckling pin. The diaphragm device may be configured to translate the inlet fluid pressure into a compressive force and to transmit the compressive force to the buckling pin, and the latch arm may be configured to disengage from the second end of the linkage assembly when the buckling pin has buckled.
