A closure gate engaging profile positioned in a bottom of the valve body locks the closure gate in the open position. The closure gate is biased into the closed position. The closure gate moves to the closed position upon floating free of the closure gate engaging profile.

摘要： A backwater valve includes a body having a flow passage extending therethrough with an inlet side and an outlet side. A closure gate is pivotally mounted within the body above the inlet side of the flow passage. The closure gate has an open position above the flow passage and a closed position blocking the inlet side of the flow passage. A float activated locking member is mounted on the body. The locking member has a locking position and a release position. In the locking position, the locking member engages and holds the closure gate in the open position. The float activated locking member is influenced by liquid rising in the body whereby the locking member is carried to the release position when the liquid rises above a preset level and upon release the closure gate closes by force of gravity.

A damper (43; 46; 243; 343; 443) may inhibit or minimize a shaking phenomenon of the float body due to waving of the liquid within the float chamber.

摘要： An overflow protection device includes a valve body having an inlet conduit passing vertically therethrough. The inlet conduit includes an outlet end below a valve chamber. A valve within the valve chamber is movable between and open and closed position. A float is pivotally mounted below the valve and the float cams, an actuator upwardly when the float experiences a less than full tank and cams the actuation downwardly to permit the valve to move downwardly when the float rises to a predetermined level as it floats on the liquid within the tank.

摘要： A combination of a toilet and an anti refill device, the toilet comprises a bowl, a tank connected to the bowl for storing water and to supply the stored water to the bowl, a flushing structure which releases water from the tank into the bowl, a supply valve for refilling the tank with water after the flushing structure has released all the water into the bowl and a float structure for activating and deactivating the supply valve by floating in the water so that when the water is low the supply valve is activated and when the water is full the supply valve is deactivated. The anti refill device comprises a lock arm attached to the float structure and has an end, a lock device arranged to cooperate with end for controlling the lock arm and a structure activated by the flush structure which activates the lock device and the end to release the lock arm so the float arm lowers and the supply valve can fill the tank after flushing. The device is arranged to stop the float structure from activating the supply valve when the flushing structure is not activated. The lock arm is held in place by the lock device and the end such that the float structure does not activate the supply valve, wherein the end and the lock device engage to define a ratchet in which a plurality of teeth have a first side so that the lock arm slides against the lock device so that the float arm can activate the supply valve and a second side of the teeth being at an angle such that the float arm is prevented from lowering.

摘要： A fluid tank valve assembly of the type employed for water tanks for toilets has a tank refill valve located atop a fluid inlet supply tube. The refill valve has a lever that is raised and lowered to open and close the valve. An inverted, cup-shaped hood is positioned atop the valve and a float is located about the skirt of the hood and secured thereto by the force of friction. The float can be moved longitudinally along the skirt of the hood in order to vary the water level at which the hood bears down upon the lever arm or is lifted from the lever arm, thereby varying the water level at which the valve is actuated. The valve itself is equipped with a metering pin that is configured to reduce the likelihood of clogging in the longitudinal passage of the core of the valve diaphragm. A unique coupling between the water inlet supply tube and the hollow mount at the bottom of the tank prevents complete separation of the water inlet supply tube relative to the mount, but permits longitudinal adjustment therebetween so as to vary the height at which the refill valve is mounted within the tank.
