    摘要: A pipe coupling comprises a socket having a ball valve in which a through bore having one end that allows insertion of a plug is formed and a casing supporting the ball valve for rocking motion. The casing has a slot extending from its flank to the top. The slot has a flank opening and a top opening. The flank opening is wider than the top opening. A lock element is located for movement in the through bore of the ball valve. When the one end of the through bore of the ball valve is aligned with the flank opening, the lock element advances into the flank opening, thereby preventing the ball valve from rocking. When the lock element is pushed into the through bore of the ball valve by the plug, it is disengaged from the flank opening, whereupon the ball valve is allowed to rock.

    摘要: A dripless hose bib for connection to a pressurized water source pipe. The dripless hose bib has a valve body having an inlet port, an outlet port and a fluid passageway connected between them. The front end of the valve body has an external garden hose thread. A ball valve is positioned in the fluid passageway. An aperture in the top surface of the valve body communicates with the ball valve. A vertically oriented valve stem has its bottom end detachably connected to the ball valve and its top end is connected to a transversely extending lever handle. A valve body plug is screwed into the rear end of the valve body and it in turn has a threaded bore in its rear end that threads onto the pressurized water source pipe.

The end piece has an end piece wall from which an inlet fitting, outlet fitting, and protrusion extend. The inlet and outlet fittings have a cam surface for actuating the inlet and outlet valves, respectively.     摘要: A valved outlet for connection to a fluid spout on a fluid container includes at least a first component that includes a body defining a first flow passage extending therethrough. The body has an inlet end adapted for insertion into an associated spout and an outlet end for discharging fluid that enters the first flow passage from the inlet end. A valve portion is located at the inlet end and controls fluid flow from the spout into the first flow passage. The valve includes a housing that defines a second flow passage that communicates with the first flow passage through a port. A resilient seal member has first and second legs compressibly located in the second flow passage and resilient sealingly engaged with the port. The first and second legs are in abutment with the housing of the valve portion. A slide is mounted for axial movement between first and second operative positions in the first flow passage. The slide has an actuating portion that is extendable through the port into engagement with the seal member to move the seal member away from the port when the slide is moved from the first operative position to the second operative position. The valved outlet can also include a second component including a housing adpated for releasably coupling to the body of the first component. The housing of the second component defines a third flow passage that communicates with the first flow passage. The housing of the second component includes a member that contacts and moves the slide member to the second operative position.

A diaphragm member including a through hole is provided to be positioned within the body. A valve is operably connected to the diaphragm member for selectively opening or closing the through hole to thereby permit or restrict the flow of a fluid between the two conduits. The opening in the body receives the diaphragm member when leak-testing a conduit, or the sealing door when connecting the two conduits in a fluid communication.

    摘要: A needless valve is described which avoids the suctioning problems of the prior needleless devices upon deactivation and which preferably provides a positive self-purging effect. The valve is self-purging at the end of an administration cycle, avoiding clogging of attached catheters or other devices, and ensures that substantially all of liquid received into the valve is delivered to the receiver. The valve is also extremely simple in design and easy to construct and assemble, since it consists of only three pieces. The valve has a base with a connector for fluid communication attachment to tubing or other device, a solid elongated fluid channeling rod, and an internal fluid flow conduit; a flexible hollow expandable and contractible plug fitting over and moveable along the rod; and a tubular housing fitting over the plug and attached to the base. When the valve is activated by insertion of a nozzle of a fluid source, the rod and plug wall cooperate so that as the plug retracts along the rod, it is stretched and its interior expanded. Upon deactivation, the plug contracts, the interior volume decreases, and the resiling plug wall forces residual fliud within the valve to be expelled through the outlet, purging the residual fluid from the valve. No negative pressure is formed, so no suctioning of blood or other fluid from a patient or receiver occurs.
