摘要： A filter element including a canister, media, and a spinning disc element is provided. The canister circumscribes a central axis. A tap plate is at an end of the canister having a central threaded opening along the central axis of the canister. The tap plate includes a first outer opening radially spaced between the central opening and a periphery of the tap plate. The disc element is supported for rotation on the tap plate. A first keyed protrusion projects outwardly from the disc element. The keyed protrusion defines a first flow opening. The spinning disc element is rotatable about the central axis. The first outer opening is in fluid communication with the first opening of the first keyed protrusion such that fluid can into or out of the canister. Filter systems including a filter head to which the filter element may be mounted are also provided.

摘要： A removable filter apparatus for a laundry treating appliance includes a lifter cover defining a generally trapezoidal prism shape with an open rectangular bottom. The lifter cover is configured to be slidably attachable along the rectangular bottom to a lifter base attached to an inner circumferential surface of a drum of the laundry treating appliance. The lifter cover defines through openings to allow for free flow of water. The apparatus further includes a filter element attachable to the lifter cover and sized to fit within the lifter cover to allow the filter element to capture particulate within the water flow.

The surrounding wall has an exterior and an interior. A filter media construction is operably held within the interior volume. A sleeve, distinct from the housing, is secured to the exterior of the surrounding wall adjacent to the housing mouth and extending partially along the surrounding wall. The sleeve has an exterior and an interior. The exterior of the sleeve defines mounting threads constructed and arranged to removably mount with the filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. The interior of the sleeve is against the exterior of the surrounding wall. A first seal member is oriented against the sleeve to create a seal with a filter head, when the filter arrangement is secured to the filter head. A filter assembly includes a filter arrangement and a filter head. The filter arrangement is removably secured to the filter head by a threaded connection between the sleeve and the filter head. A system includes an engine utilizing a liquid and a filter assembly in fluid communication with the engine to filter the liquid. Methods of making filter arrangements include utilizing structures characterized above.

摘要： A filter cartridge for operatively coupling to an appliance interface to treat a fluid, such as water, being supplied to the appliance. The interface comprises a bypass valve for actuating the interface between a bypass mode in which the fluid flowing through the interface does not flow through the filter cartridge and a treatment mode in which the fluid flowing through the interface is directed through the filter cartridge for treatment by the filter cartridge. The filter cartridge comprises a cartridge housing having a first end and a second end and extending along a housing longitudinal axis through the first end and the second end. A filter media is contained within the cartridge housing between the first end and the second end. The filter cartridge also has a first end cap on the first end of the cartridge housing and a second end cap on the second end of the cartridge housing. A bypass valve actuator is attached to the cartridge housing and extends distally to an actuator distal end. The bypass valve actuator is configured such that the actuator distal end actuates the bypass valve of the interface as the filter cartridge is coupled to interface.
