摘要: A process for lining an existing pipeline or conduit with a flexible resin impregnated cured in place liner by pulling in the liner and inflating an eversion bladder with air and curing the liner with flow-through steam without loss of pressure is provided. The bladder is stored in a pressure bladder canister coupled to a pressurized downtube and eversion elbow. The bladder is everted by introducing pressurized air into the canister As the bladder reaches the distal manhole, it enters a receiving canister where it is punctured while maintaining air pressure within the bladder a pinch valve between the downtube and elbow isolates the inverted bladder so that steam can be introduced into the bladder to cure the resin and exhaust through the receiving canister. The bladder is then removed and lateral service reinstated.

摘要: Dispensing equipment for dispensing blown loose-fill insulation. The equipment includes a flexible delivery conduit that conveys loose-fill insulation material from a source of such material and, possibly, an optional a rigid tubular wand connected to the distal end of the conduit. The equipment further includes an insert projecting radially inwardly into the loose-fill insulation flow path of the delivery conduit and/or wand for mechanically separating the insulation material's fibers and particles prior to discharge from the delivery conduit or wand. The insulation material separating structure conditions or “opens” the insulation material in such a way that the material is discharged in a substantially uniform density stream of substantially uniformly distributed fibers and particles.

摘要: The invention relates to a connection for connecting a measuring device (6) to a gas pipe, comprising: a connecting element (1) for arranging in the gas pipe which divides the gas pipe into a first and a second piece (2, 3); a connecting plug (4) which can be coupled to the connecting element and which is connected to the measuring device by means of a measuring line (5), wherein the connecting element comprises a valve which is actuable by the connecting plug and which normally mutually connects the first and the second piece of the gas pipe and which, when the connecting plug is coupled to the connecting element, connects the first piece of the gas pipe to the measuring line and closes the second piece of the gas pipe. As a result of these measures the valve is operated by the connecting plug, so that opening and closing of taps is no longer necessary. The operation of such a connection is therefor greatly simplified. A perhaps even more important advantage lies in the fact that safety is ensured, since when the connecting plug is removed the measuring line is automatically closed.

摘要: A method of repairing a leak at a branch pipe location in a manner that it is not necessary to drain the water or the liquid from the main pipe at which the repair is being made. The end of the existing branch pipe is removed from a connector at the main pipe, and a temporary plug with an elongate handle is used to branch the connector opening. With the opening remaining closed, an intermediate connector is placed over the elongate handle and welded to the connector, after which the plug member is taken from the opening and a permanent plug put in the upper end of the intermediate connector.

摘要: A tool for replacing pipe, in which the existing underground pipe is fractured or cut into fragments, which are forced inward so that they pass through the tool. The tool has breaking members that extend radially outwards and backwards from a nose such that, when the tool is pulled through an existing underground pipe, the breaking members are forced against the inside of the existing underground pipe, thereby breaking it. The fragments are forced inwards by the leading edge of the cylindrical base of the tool and pass through a bore in the cylindrical base. In this way the replacement of existing underground pipe is made possible without expanding the cavity of the existing underground pipe. The tool may additionally include a pipe guide for guiding replacement pipe into place behind the tool as the tool is pulled through the existing underground pipe. The fragments pass through the pipe guide and into the replacement pipe. The tool additionally includes clearing mechanisms for removing the fragments from the replacement pipe.

摘要: An apparatus for installing a cured in place lateral seal in an existing main pipeline wherein the lateral seal includes a brim portion bonded to a short tubular portion. The apparatus includes a flexible bladder mounted on a cylindrical housing with the bladder having a recess with an inflatable arm which can be tucked within the housing for receiving the tubular portion of the seal with the brim portion along the outer portion of the bladder. The cartridge is removably mountable on a sled or robot device with positioning motors for positioning the seal at the opening of the lateral pipeline. The use of replaceable bladder cartridges allows an operator to load a second new seal on a cartridge a first seal on a bladder cartridge mounted on the sled is being cured in place.

摘要: The present invention is an improved cutting device and method for cutting openings in rehabilitative sewer pipe liners and other surfaces in confined spaces. The present invention utilizes a stream of ultra-high pressured fluid as a cutting medium to reduce mechanical vibration, reduce the need for the withdrawal of equipment from a confined space for repair or bit replacement, and provide a cleaning medium that allows the cleaning of remote sensing equipment at the remote location without the need for withdrawal of the equipment. The device of the present invention is a generally cylindrical or oblong body and sled having a cutting head extendible therefrom for positioning and aiming a cutting stream of ultra-high pressured fluid towards a surface to be cut.

摘要: The trenchless water pipe replacement device includes a cable pulling device, a pipe splitter, a length of cable and a cable end piece. The cable is fished through a pipe that is to be replaced, and a length of replacement pipe is attached to the end piece. The pipe splitter is disposed at the front end of the pipe and the cable pulling device is disposed behind the pipe splitter. When the cable pulling device is activated, the end piece makes contact with the rear end of the pipe and sufficient pulling force is applied to the cable to dislodge the pipe and pull it onto the pipe splitter, which splits the pipe as it is pulled from the ground. The replacement pipe is pulled behind the end piece, such that when the end piece is entirely pulled through the ground, the replacement pipe is disposed in its place.
