摘要： A wind powered rotatable vent includes an annular rotatable louvered panel axially rotatable about a shaft and an impeller disposed in spaced underlying relationship with respect to the rotatable louvered panel and rotatably secured to the shaft. A fixed collar underlies at least a portion of the rotatable louvered panel and a brace which is rotatably secured to the shaft has first arms secured to an upper portion of the rotatable louvered panel and second arms secured to a lower portion thereof. The collar and rotatable louvered panel define a passageway for flow of air therethrough. The rotatable louvered panel is structured to rotate responsive to wind impinging thereon and responsive to air flowing upwardly through the impeller in the passageway.

摘要： There is disclosed an automatic damper for a chimney flue, which maintains the chimney draft at an adjusted value despite varying wind velocity and direction. A vertical shaft is rotatably supported over the top outlet of the flue by a support secured to the chimney. A weather cock is secured to the upper end of the vertical shaft and a transverse horizontal pivot rod is fixed intermediate its ends to the lower end of the vertical shaft at the level of the top of the flue outlet. A damper flap is pivoted at its mid-section on the pivot rod, defining two sections on either side of the pivot rod. A weight is secured to one section, so as to normally keep the flap in vertical position to fully open the flue, with the other flap section protruding upwardly from the chimney and exposed to the wind. Increasing wind velocity on the exposed flap section causes progressive closing of the flue to counteract the otherwise-increased draft produced by the increasing wind velocity. The system saves on fuel consumption. The weather cock keeps the flap facing the wind irrespective of the wind direction.

摘要： An automatic temperature and pressure responsive damper assembly for use within the conduit of a ventilating system designed to exhaust the air from a confined space to the atmosphere when the confined space reaches a preselected temperature or when the pressure in the confined space is greater than that in the conduit adjacent to the atmosphere. The damper assembly includes at least one vane pivotally mounted within the conduit, preferably two, the vane or vanes being mounted so that they are movable between a generally opened position, wherein air can pass freely through the conduit, and a generally closed position, wherein air passage through the conduit is blocked. A temperature responsive drive assembly that detects the temperature within the conduit is mounted therein and acts upon the vane or vanes is provided such that a change in temperature and expansion of the temperature responsive drive assembly causes the vanes to move to their opened position. Biasing means are provided for urging the vane or vanes when subjected to the aforementioned differential in pressure to their normally closed position.

摘要： A chimney ventilating cap for the evacuation of combustion gas from chimneys. The cap comprises a spherical hollow dome body defined by a forward and a rear partly semi-spherical body portion. The front and rear body portions are secured together in a spaced-apart manner to define an opening between their circumferential edges. A shield is associated with the opening. A wind governor is secured to the rear body portion. The hollow dome body has a vertical pivot connection secured to an open-ended attachment base whereby the dome body is pivotal on the vertical pivot to rotate on the base by change in wind direction.
